I like getting games the day that they come out. It's just more fun, I think. You get to have the game before anyone else.

I buy a game when I see it cheap. Play it, sell it. Then when I want to play it again I buy it again for less than I sold it. I continue this process until the game is completely devalued, then I keep it.
So you like to waste money whenever possible? My friend use to do this and it drove me insane.

I pre order games I really want. I've never pre ordered a game that was a disappointment. I also pre order for the special offers the store might have, or because I know I wont have the money when the game comes out. Other games that I think looks good I usually wait a while to get them.

Used to be after months of saving (kid, teenager), then right on the release day.
But now I am not that loaded anymore, so I tend to by them second hand asap.

And mind you; this can be damn fast! I picked up a RE5 copy a week after release, brand spankin new looking at the gameshop for twenty euro's less than an actual new one. Meant I could get a Blu-Ray movie with the saved $$$. ;)

I have a few friends who always keep up to speed on new games in the works and all that so I usually hear from them if it's anything I might like. Some internet reviewer isn't going to know what I like in games so I don't even bother looking them up, let alone taking them seriously.

When it does come out I buy it in the first few days as it comes out. Sometimes I do pre-order, but even then I'll just pick it up that afternoon. I'm not one to wait outside some store at midnight.

I don't usually get it right when it comes out (I've never been to a midnight release). If I really really want to play it, then I'd get it a week or two after, but I usually wait for a price drop.

How am I wasting money? It means I end up paying about a third of what I would pre-odering it.

Whenever I had the money of course.
I can't honestly be bothered to wait till 12am to buy a game. I've only done that for a few movies.

Usually about a year later, when the price has dropped from $120 to something closer to $60.

Money, is it there? Yes? I need to get rid of it.

Cash burns holes in my pocket, if I got it I spend it.

So are you an isomniac who waits outside Gamestop at 12 o'clock at night? Or the guy who waits till it's on clearance? What?

Opinions, discuss.
I always wait 3-6 months for a game just so I can get it for half price or less. Sometimes friends will even beat a game and I'll borrow it or they'll give it to me. Sometimes I get them for even cheaper, I bought Overlord at Gamestop for $10 and loved it (if I had bought it for $69 there would have been far less love). I just recently got COD:WAW used for $10 so I could play Nazi Zombies with my friends, I spent more on the map packs than I did on the game.

The other advantage of this is that I never have a time where there are no new games out. I always have a list of games that I've been meaning to play.

I borrow it from a friend first, he plays it hardcore style (NO STOPPING!), and when hes done, and is bored I say can borrow (name), and BOOM! I get to try a game for some time, and then after if its good, and I feel like achievement whoring,I end up buying it to system link with my friend, or online.

I only get new games when there is something I personaly REALLY want to get. DiRT 2 will be my next NEW game purchase. And thinking about it, that last NEW game I bought was Dead Space...and that was last year wasn't it?

I'll get a game the day it comes out if i've been really looking forward to it. I've only been to one midnight release and it was only fun because some of my friends were there.

Okay forget about pre ordering anything. Say you buy a game for 40 sell it for 20 buy it for 15 sell it for 5 then buy it again at 7. You just spent 66 and only earned 25, making you lost 41 dollars. More then what you payed for it originally.

I find it easier to pre-order it on Play.com. They deliver it for me, usually before it's released in shops :D.
All is good.
Now THAT is advertising and I'm sold so I think I may check that out(I'm suprised I've never heard of it)

Usually when a game I'm interested in comes out not "reviewer's pick" or my Birthday
