When I was working, every morning.

Now it's usually later morning/early afternoon, before I head out to grocery shop or where ever I need to go for the day. Sometimes it'll be late at night if I decide I don't want to crawl into bed as I feel too gross to get the sheets dirty.

Barring disastrous quantities of sweat or dirt or something, I'm a morning shower kind of guy. I find a good morning shower really helps keep the hair manageable for the rest of the day.

Morning.

It wakes me up and I wake up most mornings all sweaty so showering at night seems like a waste.

Night. I don't wake up sweaty or smelly, and there's something very relaxing about going to bed all squeaky clean. I don't find it helps waking up in the mornings but I can see how it might for some.

I have long hair that gets oily rather fast, so I tend to shower in the morning first to avoid feeling dirty and uncomfortable, even if I'm really not. I can go like...a day an a half without a shower before I start getting irritable. When I have days off (or in this case currently when I'm in the middle of jobs) I just shower whenever I feel like. Morning, night, middle of the day, just whenever I feel oily and grimy and feel like rinsing off with a nice shower. Otherwise, like stated before, I shower in the morning. It's an easy way to wake up and feel refreshed, and since I don't drink coffee, it's all I got besides the smell of breakfast.

Strictly every birthday.

Morning makes sense to me 'cos it wakes you up, shakes the groggy feeling off and gives you a fresh feeling for the day.

During the night you just sweat, so for the rest of the day you're just walking round like you just did a mile run until you shower again.
I don't sweat at night? Why would I sweat at night?

OP: Night.
Everybody sweats at night, unless you sleep in the nuddy in a chilly room. If you're under a duvet/quilt for 8 hours, you're sweating at least a little. That's why it's recommended to change your mattress every handful of years.

I shower every morning and sometimes I'll additionally shower at night.

Rather than shower in the morning, i usually just save time and piss into a fan.

On a more serious note, i shower in the morning since i have to shave as well in the morning and it just makes more sense for me to do that while i'm showering anyway.

After every workout. I workout 4 times a week so that means I shower 4 times a week. Any more and I get eczema like rashes all over my body as if I were wearing rayon.

When do I workout? All over the fricking place so morning, evening, lunch, twilight, it is all applicable... or not.

Night, helps me relax and I am not a morning person, to say the least.

Some say that showering in the morning helps them wake up, but for me it just makes me more tired, and I end up staying in there way longer than I should.

Mornings for me, though I'm fairly lax with laundering the linnen.

I'd be quite interested to hear whether this has any bearing on other people's decisions.

Morning and night. My job requires I get up early and work out, and then have a day of manual labor. I also smell horribly when I sweat so showers are a must.

First thing when I wake up.
Otherwise I'm groggy and my skin crawls.

I live with 5 other people (yay student life) and have a timetable that on many days allows me to sleep until afternoon (I do most of my studying late night) so based on those 2 factors I haven't really got a pattern. Sometimes when I wake up, sometimes before bed. It depends if I feel gross. I do make sure I do it once a day/every other day.

Oh I also do it straight after a workout. It's such a nice feeling after an intense session.

To the people that shower every morning: You're actually damaging your skin's resistance to whatever may come from the outside by doing so, you know... It is also a myth that you immediately start to stink if you don't shower for a day, even if you sweat a little. Heck, plenty of people like a more natural odour (not a sweaty odour!), rather than whatever scented shampoo you're using.

I fully shower once a week, and take about half an hour to do so. I quickly hop under about 2 times a week. In other words, I shower about every other day. But I always do it in the evening. After a shower I want to be able to relax for a bit, and let my hair dry, which takes a good hour or so. (I have long hair.) And I don't have time for that in the morning.
Well, it is true that you damage your skin by washing too much and showering once a day isn't something I would personally recommend either. In my case though I do begin to smell quite bad over the course of a day. I sweat quite a bit, I work out quite a bit and believe me, after 2 hours at the gym I smell really terrible. I try not to shower more than once a day and I skip my morning shower if I am planning to go to the gym. I also skip showering if I am not going out to meet someone so I relax a little in the weekend, but generally I need my morning shower for several reasons. I don't wash my hair more than twice a day regardless and I don't use much soap.

OT: Most days I shower in the morning. You sweat quite a bit during your sleep for one and I also wake up a little from taking the shower. Sometimes if I get sweaty during the day I'll get a second shower and if I am going to the gym I often postpone it until night-ish. Still, few things feel better than a hot shower then going to bed though.

I'm with the Japanese on this one, people pretty much always shower at night in my household. I don't know what the initial reasoning behind it was, but in my teenage years I came to realise that if I had to be up early for something I'd much rather have the extra 20/30 minutes or so of sleep rather than dick around having a shower or eating breakfast (I've been skipping breakfast for nearly a decade now) and then be able to relax and take my time with my shower in the evening. The less I have to do before I go out the door, the more convenient it is for me/the less likely I'll be late is the way I look at it.

Depends on what I've been doing. I usually shower in the mornings as it helps wake me up but I actually prefer to shower at night. I sleep way better after a night shower.

I shower at night mostly, I don't quite get this sweating while you sleep thing a lot of people are talking about, if I do it's not enough to notice. It stays nice and cool at my house & a hot shower before bed is so relaxing.
