Everybody sweats at night, unless you sleep in the nuddy in a chilly room. If you're under a duvet/quilt for 8 hours, you're sweating at least a little. That's why it's recommended to change your mattress every handful of years.Johnny Novgorod said:I don't sweat at night? Why would I sweat at night?omega 616 said:Strictly every birthday.
Morning makes sense to me 'cos it wakes you up, shakes the groggy feeling off and gives you a fresh feeling for the day.
During the night you just sweat, so for the rest of the day you're just walking round like you just did a mile run until you shower again.
OP: Night.
It ain't a myth for me. Trust me on that onesanquin said:It is also a myth that you immediately start to stink if you don't shower for a day, even if you sweat a little.
Well, it is true that you damage your skin by washing too much and showering once a day isn't something I would personally recommend either. In my case though I do begin to smell quite bad over the course of a day. I sweat quite a bit, I work out quite a bit and believe me, after 2 hours at the gym I smell really terrible. I try not to shower more than once a day and I skip my morning shower if I am planning to go to the gym. I also skip showering if I am not going out to meet someone so I relax a little in the weekend, but generally I need my morning shower for several reasons. I don't wash my hair more than twice a day regardless and I don't use much soap.sanquin said:To the people that shower every morning: You're actually damaging your skin's resistance to whatever may come from the outside by doing so, you know... It is also a myth that you immediately start to stink if you don't shower for a day, even if you sweat a little. Heck, plenty of people like a more natural odour (not a sweaty odour!), rather than whatever scented shampoo you're using.
I fully shower once a week, and take about half an hour to do so. I quickly hop under about 2 times a week. In other words, I shower about every other day. But I always do it in the evening. After a shower I want to be able to relax for a bit, and let my hair dry, which takes a good hour or so. (I have long hair.) And I don't have time for that in the morning.
