We all have those times when your game freezes after you spend time doing something... It can be extremely frustrating at times. Post your experiences.

I made this thread just now having played 45 minutes of FF7 without saving and my game crashing haha...

I rage silently for five seconds, then go out and strangle someone with their legs.
You'd be surprised how therapeutic that is.

And I usually take the rest of the day off from that game.

Well I had just gotten Infamous and was playing along nicely when the game stops progressing, I was stuck in one area and couldn't achieve the next objective.
After a bit of walking around I realised that it had frozen and restarted my PS3.

Turns out the blu-ray drive had given up on me; it was also the first day of school holidays.

Swearing ensued.

4 followed by 1, then if it happens again, 4 followed by 2 which gives me an overwhelming urge for 5.

I normally don't play the game any more that day, it is so aggravating and disheartening.

Every time this happens, I walk out onto the street in front of my house, wait for a passer by, and punch them in the face. I then walk back inside, by which time the computer has sorted itself out.

Well, if I've played for about 15 minutes, then it crashes, I think "Oh well, let's start it up again.'
If there's any more, or if it was a very bad 15 minutes, I normally stay away for a while, after ragequitting, of course.

It largely depends on the game and how much fun I'm having. If it's a game I thoroughly enjoy and am having a lot of fun with, I'll restart and try again. If I'm having a bad day, or am at an extremely frustrating part, I almost always ragequit.

Pull the game disc out and begin to profusely urinate on it.

or

Violently wave my arms in the air in a fit.

Try 3 hours... o_O

I was playing Saints Row 2 the other day trying to get all of the chop shop vehicles and I'd been playing for a few hours, forgetting to save even though I know my copy of Saints is prone to crashing. There was a fair amount of swearing and then I rage quit for the night as it was about 3am.
(Note: I've since gone back and done it all, this time saving obsessively!)

It's only happened maybe once or twice.
One time playing Fallout 3 I realised I hadn't saved since I'd left the vault, by this point I was level 9. I saved it, and then the next loading screen the game froze, I was so glad I'd noticed.

Edit: Forgot to answer the question, one time it happened on NeverWinter Nights, I punched the keyboard and snapped one of the little stand things.

RAUUUUUUGH! My Psychonauts is incapable of finishing the final level! It always goes to an empty black screen if I lose a single life. I beat the final boss once, and it inexplicably froze. Ugh.

I do the exact same thing (except not with SR2). Especially with Strategy games and the old classic, Morrowind. See, I play more Oblivion/Fallout 3 than Morrowind, and Oblivion/Fallout3 has a nice autosave feature every time you rest or go through a loading door... but not Morrowind. And there is a real chance you will be killed in Morrowind, unlike in Oblivion. Can be very aggravating.

I have a bloody Xbox 360 so I have to put up with this way too damn much. I used to rage quit like you wouldn't believe, but now I'm just paranoid and save constantly, so, usually, if a game is in danger of freezing, my last save will only be like five minutes old. Seriously, I'm over 1000 saves in Fallout 3 because of the freeze paranoia.

With other games that crash and freeze, I take it as a sign that I've played the game too damn much and destroyed the disc. I need a new copy of Final Fantasy VIII. <_<

The only games that ever crash with me are PC games, and rarely do they do it more than once a session. So i just reload it.
