I'm all for hunting so long as you don't do it like the british. I fail to see how fifty guys on horses and thirty something dogs vs. one fox is fair game. If you wanna be a real man, you'll hunt with nothing but a bow and arrow. Good stuff right there.
1. It's the English that hunt that way.
2. Only the upper class people do that, not the whole hunting community.

I'd feel really guilty inflicting pain on an innocent animal. I'd feel guilty ending it's life too. I feel like I shouldn't get involved in nature, but if somoebody is gonna hunt for food, rather than give money to people who raise animals in battery farms, then I can't complain.

If you hunt for sport though, you're a fucking sicko.

Sorry, but I just don't understand why anyone would kill living creature and get pleasure from it.

The only time I find hunting unacceptable is when it's an endangered species, or it's an animal that belongs to somebody(like a house cat).

Ah, well I stand corrected. My inner ignorant American kicked in there for a minute. However, I still think that is a lame way to hunt.

Where I live we need hunters. I remember that 15 or years ago we "as in the area" restricted the hunt for deer. Couple years later they were way over populated and they started dieing out from starvation and disease.
.
To quote South Park, "We need to kill them, or else they'll die". XD

Food and population control, but mostly for food. I mean, as long as you don't waste parts of the animal or just leave it out there, I'm all for hunting.

I think that when we start wondering whether we should hunt everything down and kill it, for fun, or to feed our endlessly growing population, then I think there is a bigger problem at hand.

No problem with it for sport or food as long as they're not hunting something that's endangered.

Hunting is acceptable to me for food and for population control/defense.

There are deer hunting seasons around here when the population gets too high. The alternative to hunting a few deer is letting a lot more starve because they lack the food to sustain the population. There are other such animals like this in the country as well.

And if you've got problems with pests a little too big for a mouse trap, I'm fine with that, too. Keep in mind I live in a fairly rural area, where big furry things come wandering into town looking for food.

Whenever I dern well feel like it, boy!

You know... the funny this is there are a ton of people here defending hunting, yet when that one girl threw a bag of puppies into that river people were freaking out. You know, there is absolutely no difference between hunting for sport and drowning puppies.

And I would really rather people only hunt if they plan on eating it, but it's not like I can stop people from hunting.

Surely the most dangerous game is the cape buffalo?
No. You are wrong, sir. The Cape buffalo is not the most dangerous big game.
I love both of you so much.
