It should have ended after CoD 4, as it would be remembered as a very good lineup with two brilliant games (2 and 4) And two average ones. Instead, the current lineup is two brilliant games, two average ones, and two completely useless titles that are just kind of stagnating in the same two places the series has been. But after seeing Black Ops footage, I'm not so sure. Black Ops actually may revive the series in the eyes of the gamers that take issue with 5 and MW2. New war, new location, new weapons, and possibly a new attitude about what should define a game.

When ever they don't feel like it, or people stop buying it. Seriously, just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people don't. No matter what, every game has a fan, no matter how bad that game is, or how much you want it gone.. Why should we deny them that?

When people stop buying it . No question about that. They wouldn't pump Madden and Sonic games out Annually if they didn't make money right?

Now. The more they make, the worse they get. It's getting to the point where it's obvious that they are milking it for everything it's worth.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is as good as the series is going to get. Now it's just doing more harm than good, especially with the ever growing monster which is Activision at the helm.

But frankly this being the games industry that's not going to happen. They'll keep flogging this dead horse till there's no longer a dead horse to hit, then they start hitting the floor, which will create a hole which they'll keep digging until they're hitting Australians...hang on, I had a point here. So instead I think they should concentrate on being original within the series. Modern Warfare was great partly because it was a different enviroment within a genre in dire need of revamping. And in doing Infinity Ward created a new cliche that will lightly last for another decade if someone doesn't so something about it. I suppose Black Ops might help but personally I don't think it's a big enough step.

At least Treyarch should get their game realeased and then it should end because all they are doing is milking it to death.

About four games ago. Or two, maybe.

At Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, or, if that causes an impossibility rift(Even time travel might not be able to prevent that sequel), at Call of Duty 2.

Nooooooo, war games are my reason for existance!!! Ok, maybe a little dramatic, but if they shut down what will i play, you can only play Halo so long and it's ending now, medal of honor is our last bet, please let it be as epic as it looks.

They should have stopped after the first Modern Warfare, but, now that they've set themselves up for a longer story, they should finish it off with Modern Warfare 3.

After Modern Warfare 3, because I like Modern Warfare's campaign and spec ops, and I want to find out
what happens to Price and Soap! Where are they going? What will they do next?

Soap was stabbed in the heart, how he managed to get the knife out, throw it in a guys eye, then walk, and still be conscious I'll never know.

After MW2 I think it should have ended, preferably before.

I've only played Call of Duty 4 and MW2, but from what I know the only good games came before CoD4.

From my own experience I think they spent too much time thinking about how they could make MW2 "more awesome" than CoD4, and forgot to balance it. The problem with milking a series is that players expect the next game to be better, and it obviously gets harder and harder to do.
