I'm undecided. the Xbox 360 has served me well across the past few years and I've never felt the need to buy a PS3. If that trend continue I will probably get the next Xbox. But there's rumours that the new Xbox will do the same thing the Wii did this generation. Namely back out of the power race and focus on motion controls. If that's true then I won't hesitate to go for the PS4 (or whatever it's called). But no matter what happens I will probably get a WiiU at some point as well for Zelda. And who knows, they might have other games worth getting too this time round. But it will once again take the back seat in terms of hardcore gaming given that it will lack power once again.

Im gonna have to stick with the next microsoft console. Ive invested too much in my gamer profile to jump ship now.

Most likely the xbox and maybe playstation. I had high hopes for Wii U but I am not risking buying something with a touch screen controller. Though if all three end up with weird controllers I am just gonna stick with pc then.

I'd go with the Xbox even though I play mostly third party games, but that's only because I'm familiar with the Xbox consoles. I have no other reasoning but that.

I don't think it is really possible to give a sure answer right now. Hell I didn't even pick up a 360 over PS3 until I got one on sale for really cheap as part of a boxing day sale. I'm likely to grab a WiiU, because I like games like Smash Bros and Zelda and they aren't going to be on the others, clearly. After that though? I really am not sure. There aren't any exclusive franchises I'm attached to on either side.

Probably Xbox for backwards compatibility, and maybe a cheap PS3 eventually.

I'll get them all eventually I'm sure. I don't think any of the three choices are bad, just different experiences. The N64 and PS1 were my first consoles, but since Crash Bandicoot I've been with Sony ever since. I'll do it like this until I see more from the Wii U instead of just more Zelda, Mario, and Mario spin offs.

PS4, Xbox 720, Wii U (when Smash Bros 4 comes)

I got the PS3 back in 2008 and have been satisfied since. A ton of great exclusives, multi-platform titles, and pretty simple online interface do it for me. My cousin has a 360 and I do love how you can actually create an avatar not part of something like PS Home, just on your main menu board. The ability to play your own playlists during games really got me attracted to the system and I still go over to play Gears 3 co-op on weekends :)

Uncharted 1-3
Mass Effect 2
Disgaea 4
Fallout/Killzone/Dragon Age
LittleBig Planet 1-2
Ratchet & Clank: Crack In Time
InFamous 1-2
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD ( I spell that right? Ha!)

Sony has yet to let me down so I'll wait until launch day for the PS4. After buying around 3-4 games for it I'll start saving up for the Xbox 720 for whatever exclusives they might offer. Best of both worlds! No point in limiting myself to just one console experience if you can afford to have something different. When I'm bored of PS4 I'll plug in the Xbox then do the same with Xbox to PS.

Come on Q4 2014!

There's no point in debating this because besides Wii U we don't know jack about what the other consoles will be like or more importantly how good the games for it are.

What horrid games? They have the best lineup[ of exclusives of any of the three consoles. Anyways, my choice would be the PS4. Free online is great and Sony has a ton studios under it's belt. With companies like Naughty Dog, Suckerpunch, and Media Molecule, you know there's going to be some high quality exclusives on the system. I'll probably end up getting a WiiU once Metroid, Zelda, and Mario get on the system.

PS4 for sure. Nintendo has basically given up on the core gamer demographic while Microsoft isn't winning me over with its horrible Red Ring? problem that still continues and a monthly fee to play online. My 80 Gig PS3 is still running strong and is a Blu-Ray player.

Can't decide until we hear some information can I?

Chances are I'll probably get the PS4 though. The PS3 has way more legs than my 360. Plus I have a feeling Microsoft are going to try to go all out with motion controls and fill the space Nintendo has left with the next generation. I have very little interest in what I've heard about the WiiU, though maybe Nintendo will surprise me once we start to hear more.

Guys, it's a bit early to start the console wars, let's at least wait till the latter two have been announced.

Personally, I'm probably gonna buy the Wii U and either an Xbox or Playstation. That's because the latter two will be pretty much the same aside from a few exclusives while the former will be shit except for Nintendo games which are still undeniably high quality.

At the risk of sounding like a rich twat, I am planning to get the next Xbox and the Wii U, I like having both a Wii and 360 in my flat. Probably because I can't live without Mario in my life but I also love more hardcore games like Gears of Wars , CoD etc.

XBox 360s failure rate is about 30%
PS3s failure rate is less then 1%
I'm not sure what problems you are talking about, but having to use 2 different game disks and then download texture packs is enough for me never to buy anything from microsoft ever again.

I will probably buy none, and use my PC which is better now then the new consoles will ever be. I will eventually buy the next playstation because they have far better exclusives.
