Poll: When you see that Yahtzee is reviewing a game you actualy like, What do you do/think?

I don't care if he makes fun of a game I like (like Borderlands) because he usually has some good points and he's usually funny about it.

On the contrary, I only disapprove when he gives a rave review of a game I think is awful like No More Heroes. And even then it has to be more than just , I didn't like it; it has to be genuinely poorly made (like NMH) for me to disapprove.

I just laugh even though he criticized my favorite game of all time MGS4, then again he is right ... I let my own stupidity be perplexed by its shining exterior while he saw right inside and through that game like glass.

99% of the things he'll say are true, although it'll be hard to admit it (I'm looking at you fanboys...). But when he reviewed MGS4 (a game that's the nr. 1 on my top-list) I realized every single reviewer still has his own opinion.

I love it. Like others have said. He is a Critic, His job is to tell you what's wrong. Not what's good. No one can tell you what's good. That's up to you to decide. If you can't do that for yourself. Then there's something terribly wrong with you.

On many occasions I actually have found enjoyment in crappy video games. The only thing I can say is that I like what I like regardless of any one else's opinion... including the ZP review.

Well seeing that I equate his 'reviews' with humor, I rather enjoy them.

Mass Effect 2 is a great example, along with BioShock.

His shtick wouldn't be as funny if he were to heap praise on a game (other than portal), so it's reasonable to watch him pick apart flaws.

He's always funny, and now and then he introduces a cutting point which either I hadn't noticed or refused to accept.

It depends on the review, on the BorderLands one most of is complaints are completely valid which made the game lose a few points when I realised how fucking arsey those cars were.

On the other hand, some of his complaints have more to do with his way of gaming, he doesn't like something, I love it. Each to his own.

I watch the review, everything he says is true, I'm not such a devoted fan of anything that I block out the truth, I loved borderlands, but everything he said about that was correct IMO.
the only time I got upset with Yathzee was when he had a pop at 40k players, but its all for a laugh so whateves.

I always like his reviews, agree with them or not.

That said, it does annoy me somewhat when he mentions something being bad about the game and I'm like... what? It seems to me a lot of the things he dislikes are things where he's missed the point.

Otherwise, always entertaining, even when hes wrong (MGS4, for example. the game's story itself is simple, the complications are all in the backstory which is for fans only, ya whinging prats)

Well, I don't care all that much. Basically, I've agreed on every review so far. The thing is that he's objective, no matter what fanboys say. Despite pointing out everything that sucks in a game, he always says if it's worth playing or not.

True, though he's usually right, 9 out of 10 times it's either nitpicking or a really bad game I wouldn't get anyway.

I like his style, he likes rants just like me. He likes good storytelling, like me. He's willing to cope with some crap to give the story a chance, just like me.

He's a nitpicker who cannot play games without seeing the flaws, whether he wants to or not, thank god not like me.

I like the vids, watch em every week, catch the xtra punctuation issues and take the review part with a grain of salt.

Well, it's true I watch it for the entertainment value, but he has good points and despite naming everything bad in a game, he says the game's good (if it really is). Like fable, MGS4, DMC4, Mass Effect 2, etc.

Yahtzee doesn't hate games in general. He wouldn't be a gamer if he did.
