Poll: When you use your computer at evening/night, do you have your lights on/off?

I am just curious. I always keep the lights off, while my friend keeps them on. That really bugs me for some reason, and I cannot explain why. What do you prefer?

Edit: I remember adding a poll, but I'm not seeing one. Some kind of malfunction, don't blame me!

I turn off the main light on my ceiling, and instead have a small lamp in the opposite corner to the computer on.

Lights are always off. If I'm using the pc I don't have to be able to clearly see everything else in the room.

Yeah I thought that, games have more atmosphere with lights off though

I keep them on, unless it's like 3 or 4 in the morning, then I will turn the lights off so I won't wake up any of my roommates. I do prefer keeping the light on though.

I have three lamps in this room that I usuall keep on - or at least two of them.

I don't like having ONLY the light from the computer screen, so. And I want to be aware of my surroundings, or I'll get paranoid/feel isolated.

I usually keep the lights on, I don't like sitting in the dark unless i'm playing/watching something scary. Otherwise i'm just pissed off about why the lights are off.

Yeah I always have at least a lamp on.

Lights off during movies or 'intense' gaming, lights on for everything unless its bright enough outside that the ambient light does a better job.
