Poll: When you use your computer at evening/night, do you have your lights on/off?

Off. I can't fucking stand having lights on around me. Though I turn them on during the day.

No. I've moved all my computers and televisions away from windows. I fucking hate glare.

I often have the lights turned off but thats because I am lazy and haven't fixed the lights but the TV is often on so that I can...watch TV.

I like to live in a constantly dark hole. So off.

Also, mother throws a fit if the lights in the house are turned on at all (more or less), so yeah.

Well, it depends. If it was dark when I go into my room to use the PC I will turn on the light as I go in. If it turns dark while I'm on the PC the light stays off until I leave and return to the room for whatever reason (drink/toilet etc.)

yes, if it's dark and i use my laptop without a light on it hurts my eyes after a while. Hell, i'm in my front room now, with laptop, light on and playing Code Veronica on my Wii

I really don't care to be honest. If my sister came in and turned my lights on I would leave them on unless I'm playing a scary game. If my friend came in and turned them off I would just leave them off. I'm more interested in what i'm playing than the the light to wall contrast.

Sometimes, depends on what time it is.

Right now it's dark for most of the day where I live, so I tend to just leave the lights on. In the summer I rarely use lights.

Keeping the lights off is bad for your eyes.

People say that, but it's nothing serious. Just stop doing it if you start getting headaches and blurry vision. It will go away again.

I turn of the main lights, but there's a smaller TL a bit to my right/up/behind me.. I turn that one on so I can still see the keys. (I type while watching the screen but need to be able to see my fingers in the corner of my eyes D Also, this makes it so the screen is not too bright.

My gaming is usually during the night -> morning and I always play with my lights off.

I wear glasses and I know that not having my light on can fuck up my eyesight even more,but the electric bill is high enough as it is with my computer running more than 15h a day.

For me, a dark room makes it a lot easier to get immersed in a game. Playing some immersive game in a dark room at night, it's really awesome.
