I'm from Vancouver, B.C, and extremely proud of it[except our premier(our version of a governor) is a real ass], but my ancestors are from Holland.
Does he ever! I wrote and performed a song about him back when he was elected (I was probably 10) and all the teachers were complimenting me for weeks... These days I focus on municipal politics, but I'll get back to griping about Campbell after Robertson gets elected. (Go Gregor!)

Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.

It's like the south of America, we're really friendly, drink a lot, beat our wives and fuck our cousins.

Jesus christ I went to click quote and I clicked report by accident and I am soooooooooooo sorry!!!!

That aside, if it still has the sexy souther accent most southern-americans have, yay! Though I do like the Yorkshire accent, my uncle lives there.

I myself am from Dublin, in Ireland. Not a knob, like all those bastards from the north side with their bug houses and fake tan, but from the southside, with her clothes from Penneys and worn out shoes who blows all her money on games.

The Netherlands. Or Holland.

Dutch. Not proud of it. I don't see the point of being proud of your nationality, except for creating an illusion of superiority.
No point in being proud of it, but it's nothing to be ashamed of either, there's nothing you can do about it anyway. Just be glad you (most likely) don't live in Almere.

Hmm, I actually had a discussion that is somewhat related to national pride the other day.
My brother-in-law and I were in agreement, opposed by my sister and mother, that you in fact cannot be proud of your nationality, if you did not have a hand in it yourself. Pride should be about something that you did yourself, like getting an A on a report or building a damn good fence. While you can only be happy about something you can't control, like where you are born.
So unless you actually had to immigrate somewhere on your own initiative to become that nationality, it really isn't much to be proud of.

Edit: So people who are "proud" of their country or are patriots are really just fanboys instead, or have a great deal of respect for the way their country works or maybe they are just really happy about it.

I'm from Canada. And I'm suprised that there aren't more of us on here because we have quite a large gaming community.

P.S. Don't complain if it's cold because you have no idea what cold is... "Shivering".
Woot! Canada all the way! Good to see one more around here haha
And yes, I must comply with the cold statement, too true

Europe, hooray! More specifically, England... hooray! Even more specifically, North Yorkshire. Not hooray.
