I realise that continents are quite a large area, but if I had chosen to list countries someone would've been left out....soooo... where are you from?

If I say "America" then I am ignoring the fact that both Canada and Mexico are part of North America. If I say United States... Unites states of what? There are so many sets of united states... Gah, my stupid geography teacher screwed up on this.
