Let's see, what do I love about living here?

I live in the greatest place in the world, with the best people in the world. What's to not like?
The sadawesome part is, that's 100% accurate.

Sincerely,
A Texan.
Fixed it for ya. ;]

UK, more specifically Scotland and I guess I like our uh...History?

I can't really think what I like about Scotland, where I am there is still a conflict which was only relevant in the 1700's, everyone seems to think to have fun they need to get on the ground sick drunk, I can't go out at night without fear of being attacked, there is a good bit of ignorance yet I guess I still like this country and what it could be.
Also from Scotland and agree COMPLETELY!!!!!

I'm from the UK. The East Midlands, to be more specific.

I like it here for the same reasons as lunncal.

I'm in the USA, on the pacific coast. I love my country for many reasons, the most recent of which being that it's not ruled by the worst type of government in the world. Say what you will about our leadership, but at least you CAN say it without being taken into custody and tortured to death.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I love it here; many don't, but I quite like it.

England. I like living here because it is inarguably the best country, due to all of the reasons.
Same here I'm from a town called Poulton which is just outside Blackpool, the quoted comment is 100% true.

I'm from England.

The good stuff: No extreme or life-threatening weather. We have a long, varied and interesting history. We're not the best at anything, but we're usually okay. We're lucky in that our official language is also the main language of the internet. Oh, and the pies. We have good pies.

The bad stuff: No nice or reliable weather. We have a long, varied, interesting history of being dicks to the rest of the world. Lots of us still think that we're amazing even though we're not. Our official language is chock-full of irregular verbs and has a bizarre spelling-pronunciation relationship.

Can't fault the pies though.

Chicago, Illinois. But I currently live in Atlanta. It has what is, for my money, one of the best independent movie theaters in the country (The Plaza), amazing unhealthy food, and some really good record stores, but it's WAY too fucking hot in the summer and the subway system is pretty lame. So I guess it's sort of a wash.

Well... you left out New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Australia is not a continent...
should be changed to australasia since thats what they call our little area... or what aus calls it when we won and they didnt(in some sport i forgot...was in the papers a while ago) >.>
During the soccer world cup lol when they were ejected before we were - the Australian media tried saying that "at least Australasia will so well"

I'm from the States (specifically, California). Never having lived anywhere else for any length of time, I really don't feel competent to say what I like about it.

from UK and shocked at how utterly Europe and North America dominate this poll -- there is essentially NOTHING from anywhere but those places. Especially Asia :'(

Hey there Escapist!

Here is a trivia question for you.

Where are YOU from? (From meaning which part of the world, not country)

Once you select your choice, explain to me what country are you from and what you like about it!

Thanks!

(P.s: I am from North America and live in Canada and I love my country because we have Bioware!)

EDIT: Sorry, forgot my brothers and sisters from another mother down under!
Really? You put Antarctica in, but not Scandinavia?
Priorities mate! :)

Also,
Denmark, which unlike what my whiny fellow countryman said ealier in the thread, is not a land of fail at all. We are doing quite well, thankyouverymuch :)
Scandinavia is clearly in Europe? (is Denmark even part of Scandinavia really? Its not attached to it...)
