A lot of North American and European people here on the Escapist. I am from The U.S, NY specifically. What I liked about the small town where I am from is that it is such a cultural and intellectual wasteland that I spent my life working hard to make something out of my life and I am glad to report that I have succeeded.

North America, USA, Michigan, a few miles north of Detroit.

Bad things about living near Detroit: The weather, the economy, the job market, the weather (I fucking hate Michigan weather!)

Good things about living near Detroit: the Red Wings
I just moved to Royal Oak a few days ago from NY to start a job at GM and you are right about the weather, it has rained everyday since I got here. Oh and screw the red wings, GO SABRES!

Psh, North East? That's alright, but it's no North West. We got Liverpool and Manchester, and uh... extremely high levels of teenage pregnancy. There's nowhere better than here.
Manchester and Liverpool, eh? I suppose I can let them scrape into the North this time around. I've never been to the North West, but round where I live we're so xenophobic that even the Southerners get treated like shit. I'd say that you probably couldn't find a single school without a pregnant lass around here either, but that would be a lie, they've all been kicked out.

NOTE: It should be made clear at this point that not all North Easterners are xenophobic whores and I am certainly not one of them.

North America, specifically USA.
It is the greatest country in the world, and that's why I like it. And anyone who disagrees is a communist bastard backed by the leftover Soviets from the Cold War.
That, or one of those damn democrats. Which is worse then being a commie.
I lol'd.

I'm from the U.S.A. also. It's not much different in a day-to-day sense from the rest of the world, although I think we have the coolest/stupidest/most insane weather. Also, when we have a disaster, nobody rushes a shit ton of aid to US (apart from other Americans). Which means that we're the most awesome. :D

You think it's bad now? Wait 'til winter comes back around, that's when things really get screwy.
Oh and screw the red wings, GO SABRES!
You're living in Royal Oak now, be careful saying such things.
