I went into this film after hearing alot of people blab on about how emotional and heart wrenching this film was. Because i'm scared of any emotions that may allow people to deem me as weak, i had chosen not to see this film at the cinema. However, it was christmas and there was nothing else to do, so i sat down preping myself for the horrid emotions that came ahead.
As the credits rolled, i couldn't help thinking to myself "am i simply a cold emotionless husk of a human, or is the entire human race massive pussys".
I had to ask my mum which part was apparently the "upsetting bit", of which she informed me the incinerator and the ending were.
If you got upset because you thought the toys were about to be burnt to a cinder, then film-makers could wheel out the biggest cliches in the world and you'd fall for them hook line and sinker. As for Andy parting way with his toys, i just thought it was nice of him to get rid of them because then they would be played with. God knows i have a crap tonne of toys in the attic that are probably rotting, so it was simply a nice gesture to give them to someone that would play with them.
