Besides being interested in where people 'get their stuff', I am also looking for a good online US store that sells anime DVDs.

Anyway, I get most of my stuff from www.play.com [http://www.play.com]. They have a lot of good deals and don't charge for shipping. On occasion I visit my local store. But they are usually overpriced.

I used to have a few good sites in the US, but most of them don't exist anymore.

I get most everything from Amazon, generally used. I save money and I don't have to leave the house, which I hate. Win-win!

I get all my games from an online shop in the UK. Their prices are half of what they are in Sweden, or lower, and the delivery is free. Can't say it worked in my favor though. Bought over 100 games from there. Most of which I didn't really want. :p

Don't buy much movies these days, since I got so damn many, but when I do it's generally from the cheap bin in the store I'm shopping in.

Edit: Checked out Play.com, and from what it seems my site is cheaper. Especially since £ is worth a bit less than euros at the moment.

I buy most of my stuff from online stores like Amazon. I really have no other option, because their are absolutely no good stores (or any stores, really) for that near my house.

I buy and sell on Play.com

Free delivery on everything, plus you can actually get something decent for used games online as opposed to getting robbed at GAME or Gamestop.

Same here, I use Play.com to buy most of my DVDs, since I mostly buy anime.

If I can find what I'm looking for I buy from my local HMV because of the convenience of not waiting. But yeah, it does cost more...

I usually get most of my games from Zavvi (online UK store, prices are about half what we pay here in Australia), though I use gamecafe.com.au to find the lowest price. Still looking for a good place to get DVDs from online, to Australia. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I mix and match. Since I work at Target I was literally able to get Bad Lieutenant: New Orleans for free and my other game/ movie purchases at a discount. There are certain other games that I can really only get off of the internet like Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22 and, F-Zero (both purchased from Amazon for less than Crysis 2 on a console).

I actually still buy CDs new and from stores like Best Buy but that would be the unused D option whereas my reply was the unused C option.

Mostly from Amazon, although some CE stuff from Game.

There are nearly no local game stores left in Scotland, or most the rest of the UK thanks to Game's rapid expansion and ability to undercut the competition. That's coming back to bite them now, with the supermarkets using the same tactic to to take business away from Game, who have lost all consumer support thanks to poor customer service and high prices on second hand products.

I don't buy DVDs or Blueray, never going to use them so what's the point.
Games I will buy from ozgameshop.com
Our nice British friends on the other side of the world are nice enough to send me over new and collectors editions of games, and they are cheaper than any stores over here, even when they go on sale.

Well I usually shop online via play.com and, of course, Steam for new games but I'll occasionally go to Game for a look but they never really have much and the games there are usually overpriced.

If I'm looking for an older game or I have no money and want somewhere cheaper then I'll go to CEX, they only sell used stuff but it has never not worked for me plus they're really good value and pretty helpful too, both for buying and selling. A few months ago I wanted to trade in my 360 and Wii as well as all the games I had for both so I could buy a PS3, at Game they would give me £180 (store credit) and the cheapest PS3 they had was £230, I went to CEX and got £380 (again, store credit) for my stuff then managed to get a PS3 plus a bunch of games for it and it only cost me 20p thanks to the trade-in.

I'm trying to switch to digital copies, but so often, the game I want isn't available so it's back to Blockbuster's.

Mostly amazon, but primarily via their marketplace from private sellers or smaller retailers.

I get everything I can from GoG, then I move to gamersgate then to D2D (not really ever since they stopped selling to AU) then to Steam or CDWoW (to ship a box).
