The question is kinda simple. Where do you draw the line when it comes to killing in a video game. Several of my friends find it hard to kill a dog when your forced to fight them in a game. Others have no problem and play No Russian over and over. Some people just hate violence. I personally can kill almost anything but I don't think I could kill a child in a game.

Edit: Poll cut me off one of the answers was: Cant Kill anyone who Isn't a Goomba

I cannot kill anyone who gives me negative karma.

As a general rule, I won't shoot anyone who isn't a direct foe, unless shot at first. Then, you may have just bought your own tickets to hell

However, if you set off my "Evildar" or "Detect Evil", then kiss your life goodbye! Lawful Good doesn't mean Lawful Nice

Depends. during the main game, I'll play morally, sometimes slippping, but being human. If the mood strikes me I'll wipe out a town, if it doesnt, I wont.

However, once I get to sandbox mode.... I'll just rip shit up just for fun, or be a saint. it depends on the day I had.

I can't kill kids. It's a personal code of mine: Kill the kids, kill the future. I'll kill an innocend bystander if they get in the way,but I never go out of my way to kill them.

Can't kill children or cats. Other than that, the morality of my playstyle depends on the current mood of the spiders in my head. I could be picking flowers for a rosy-cheeked housewife or seeing how many grenades will fit in her pocket.

I kill everyone on the (likely) assumption that they did something wrong and have it coming (ESPECIALLY children). It makes it that much easier...

I don't kill innocents, kids, animals, or people that give me the option to let them go free rather than kill them.

I'm a total wimp. I can't even go on a killing spree in Prototype without feeling bad.

I would kill anyone/thing that gets in my way, whether it be cats, children or innocent bystanders. Of course, I won't go out of my way to do so.

I generally don't like killing random people. If they deserve it or attack me fine, but I usually don't just start shooting up people.

When people annoyed me in Red Dead Redemption, I just lassoed them up in front of the saloon and walked away. It's hilarious.

Life and Death is a vicious natural circle. I for one have no soul when I play a game. When playing Oblivion for instance, and I am working for the Dark Brotherhood I have no problems whatsoever.

I generally don't kill anything that isn't trying to kill me.

No housepets. Admittedly, in some of my Fallout rampages, I found myself shooting at children since the little bastards were running and screaming for help from the big men with guns, but that was more an autopilot thing. Just don't ask me to shoot kittens/non-rabid dogs.

Why Postal 2, why use the kitty as a silencer?!
Would it make you feel better if I told their their making a 3rd postal...

I usually will not kill anything that isn't directly threatening me, or part of an objective. If you're on my list of objectives, however, you die.

EDIT: Although I had real trouble with that Dark Brotherhood mission in Oblivion where you have to kill all the members of a particular family. Advice for anyone doing that mission - just follow the quest markers. Do not read the note.

Anything, except cats.

Can't kill cats.

Had great fun in Fallout 3, sold a kid into slavery, nuked a town. Man I was in a bad mood the day I started that game.
