I'd like to see a GTA game set in Texas where you could cross the border into Mexico. Sicario the game, basically.
Yeah, when I saw that movie it reminded me what an awesome setting for a GTA game this would be. It had all the ingredients for a great GTA game and then some. I don't see GTA in any other location than the U.S. though, considering the 'Americana' is such a signature part of the franchise. Simply wouldn't be GTA without it.

I mean artistically thered be little point, cause they did it already but Vice City in the 90s. Only because the graphics would look amazing.

I want Las Venturas with surrounding desert area. Think about it. Real Las Vegas is freakin' awesome. And having a game set entirely in that city with all that it offers would be amazing. There's no better place for a criminal empire.

Detroit. In this case, it would be called GTA VI: Motor City.
In GTA world that would Carcer City where Manhunt took place.
I did not know that. Either name would be fine, but I prefer Motor City.

I'm sick of grid plans in city games. It's a boring way to design an open world. America is all grids. Let's go to Europe, where the streets have no rhyme or reason. A fictional European city with surrounding countrysides. You'd play the American or British tourist, giving Americans and international fans who followed the series something to connect with.
What do you mean by Grid Plans?

Beijing would be nice.
That city is huge, there would be so many places to explore.

London has been a setting in the past, so you never know...

This would be really interesting.

It should be set in high school and called Bully 2.
This would be ideal. You can even keep cars and the theft thereof if the main character is a Junior or Senior.

When it comes to GTA VI, I'd either like to see the game set in "London" or I'd like to see a multi-city set up. Maybe start the game in Vice City and give me the opportunity to get on a boat and go to "Cuba". We can go to Cuba now for real and I think it would be great to see a Rockstar version of Somewhat Americanized Havana.

edit: Or...ya know...Washington DC. Give us the chance to steal some Metro trains.

The Mass Effect Citadel. I want to steal skycars, get Asari hookers, get into shootouts with C-Sec, hire Krogans, get info from the Shadow Broker, get chased by Spectres in the final chapters. The works.

Whenever this question is asked on the net, I'll keep answering the same way until Rockstar catches wind and runs with it :p

GTA VI should go back to Vice City in the 80's.

You play as an ex Vice undercover cop turned crime lord. Think Evil Crockett from the end of Miami Vice season's 4 and beginning of 5, but without the anmesia

I'd like to keep the car physics where they're at in V but a return to the third person gameplay in IV.

I think modern miami would be much better choice. What with Florida Man and the sheer transperancy of criminal rap sheets in Florida

Somewhere new definitely. A game in Asia or Europe would get me interested in the series again (haven't played GTA since San Andreas). Or even something like New Zealand. Include some mountainous countryside to explore.

Anywhere City.

It really is a missed oppertunity to not do a second GTA game in the retro-sci fi settings of 2.

Moscow, or perhaps some other Russian city. Why?

Lots of varying architecture and regions, lots of corruption to use as a basis for stories, lots of variety in car types (from crumbling ladas to oligarch ferraris) and a tremendous amount of opportunity for emergent story telling with drunk/incompetent drivers, dodgy roads and dodgy cops.

And imagine having someone like Red as a protagonist, holy shit.
