I would probably like them to set one in Black Marsh next, but accept that it's probably going to be in Valenwood...

Even better, they could do a game across the whole of Tamriel. That'd be so sweet.

High Rock. The more mages, the more it will be outlandish like House Telvanni, hopefully.
Actually High Rock is more "game of thrones" political assassination, then House Televani wizardy.
So something more subtle than all the assassinations that the Telvanni had you carry out?

What stakes are really large enough to matter to the 10 races besides end of the world scenarios?
I think there are lots of different stakes that could motivate the whole continent. Anything that threatens the political stability of the Empire could be one. Economic concerns or religious conflicts could do. Ideological conflicts. Any local problem with wider implications. Anything, really. And I would be fine with a plot where the stakes are particular to the area the game takes place in or even to smaller groups or a few individuals.

Considering that
-The Empire was founded by Lorkhan
-Mortal belief affects the gods very existences

Pretty much every single thing that happens to the Empire is gonna piss Lorkhan off and he is gonna make it into a big deal by sending a god-killer down to Nirn to fix the problem.

It is kinda hard to not turn everything into a world ending scenario when the very basis of the series meta-physics states that what mortals beleive can alter the very landscape of the world, and the gods.

Dial it back to 1E, set the whole thing in Dwemer territory underground. I'd play the Hell out of that.

I'm afraid that Bethesda will think most of those provinces are too alien for the majority of TES gamers.

Skyrim was what I wanted to see, and now I did. I don't really care where the next game will be set(Maybe two provinces? I'd love to see Elsewyr and Valenwood together) I'll just hope for the best.

Elsweyr, if only just to finally actually see all of those different varieties of Khajiit that I've heard so much about. Imagine meeting a quadrupedal Khajiit mercenary and paying them some gold so you can ride them into battle instead of a horse; a hulking, intelligent cat warrior paid to both carry you from place-to-place and tear apart your enemies for you. That would just be nothing short of badass. There'd also be absolutely no excuse for Bethesda to not show us some adorable Khajiit cubs. Plus it would just be interesting to learn more about Khajiit culture, how their religion and politics work, what their architecture and art look like, maybe meet the Mane, whatever. The Khajiit are my favourite Elder Scrolls race and I'd really like to know more about them.

Only real downsides I'd see to using Elsweyr would be the geography; Elsweyr is quite a bit smaller than Skyrim or Cyrodiil, and the northern deserts might end up seeming a bit too much like Fallout or the Ashlands in Morrowind. Neither of those things should be an issue if Bethesda can pack enough detail into the world and take the time to give the province its own distinct look, but it could be if they're lazy about it.

The Elves have no chance of winning, but I would love to see them epically fail.
Really? Because from the tone of things in Skyrim, the Dominion has the Empire bent over a barrel and it's reaching for the lube. Like I thought the entire purpose behind the civil war was because Stormcloak didn't think the Empire should be bowing to the Dominion, and specifically that the Nords shouldn't be bowing to anybody but a High King...which is why the Empire wants to crush Stormcloak's rebellion, so the Dominion wouldn't get pissed off and invade again.

I do agree, though, that a game set in Valenwood during the inevitable conflict wouldn't go amiss. However, isn't it "tradition" that the games are set centuries apart from one another? I fear the upcoming conflict - if not made into an official expension like how Shivering Isles was an official expansion - might just get skipped over if they make a new game.

That said, I'd love to see a game in one of the beast provincess: Elsweyr or Black Marsh. Just because I'd like to see towns filled with beast-people since there's so very few of them in the other provinces.

I've always wanted to see Summerset Isle. Valenwood and High Rock would be pretty cool as well I suppose. Elsweyr could be interesting, but I don't think it could hold a whole game. Not enough variation.
I like this idea. Honestly though after Skyrim, I doubt they'll have any trouble developing a different area of Cyrodiil. They get better at their world designs with every game.

Valenwood wood seem like a cool place for a next game to be set in.
Apperantly it has the Aldmeri Dominion there, which is nice to wipe out, but more importantly, Skyrim told me they have cities in giant moving trees.
Seriously, how awesome is that?
And it certainly would make a nice bit of variation from all the snow in Skyrim.

I know something happens in Tamriel that isn't an apocalypse lol.

By the way, your knowledge of the lore is always appreciated, even if I have seen it drive men to madness hehe.

I'd have to say Valenwood or Summerset Isle, leaning more towards Valenwood though because I'd rather not run into those snooty guys from the Aldmeri Dominion

I would really love Valenwood and Elsweyr together in one game. It would give a great range of area types. Woodland, Jungle and Desert and those two areas together are about the same size as Skyrim.

They could base the game around the Thalmor dominion and have you helping the Wood Elves and Khajiit against those ass pants.

A main quest based around the Khajiit would be awesome too I never play as one but I always feel they are marginalized.

I feel like they have built up the Thalmor issue too much to have another massive leap forward in time ala Skyrim. That said I don't know how they are going to beat dragons :|

Elsweyr is my preference, but anywhere that's more distinct from Cyrodill and Skyrim would be interesting to see. Cyrodiil is beautiful and it has a lot of different landscapes to explore, but for someone who's lived in Canada all their life, snow is not a thrilling thing to see. In that way I was always disappointed with TES V's setting. So the deserts of Elsweyr or the Argonians' marshy homeland would satisfy my desire for change quite well.

I want Elsywer, if you talk to the Khajiit caravans, they all talk about how it ranges from desert to rainforest, it sounds awesome! Plus, I really want to see more of the Khajiit, since Skyrim made them badass. Plus, you read in various books (like, I think, Mixed Unit Tactics) about how there seem to be different "breeds" of Khajiit, which would be cool to see.

It'd be great to see one that's in the desert. I'd say Elsywere for the Khahjiit, but Hammerfell has the biggest one out there...on the other hand, it'd be REALLY cool to go to Black Marsh, mainly for a lot of the critters that I'm sure inhabit it. Plus they were the only province to not be hurt by the Oblivion crisis.
