I just did almost 100 messages in the last 7 hours or so.
Hilarious how you forgot to enlist the help of our very own Spanish Inquisition.dududf said:We were all newbies once, if they act like trolls, then they will be dealt with like trolls.
Until they do something stupid, consider them one of us and embrace them.
But I swear to god, if they make MW2 threads I'm going to kill them. Kill them all.

Agreed, I would think you'd base it more on the date they joined which very conveniently stated with every one of their posts.Mr.Pandah said:...Really? You base "newbness" on post count? I spend alot of time on the site as well. Its my homepage as a matter of fact on my laptop. I really enjoy this website...I guess its the community, and hopefully whatever newcomers are on their way in, they enjoy it as much as I do.GreyWolf257 said:I just post on EVERYTHING. I spend about .5-4 hours a day on this site, every other week. It gives me plenty of time to post.Mr.Pandah said:I'll never understand how people are able to post so much...You've been here for 2 months and you already have 1/4th of my posts.GreyWolf257 said:I see what you are talking about. All I can say is that it can't be bad, we were all new at one point. I haven't been here that long, but look at me now: I've already angered about 1/10th the amount of people Hitler has offended, and I have a fairly good collection of posts. And I am typing five minutes after midnight...I have no life...but at least some of the newer people can get just as absorbed as we are to this forum and make us look a little more normal.
Meh, I joined the actual community after I watched every single ZP, then I fell in love with a view from the road. And I like posting.Fniff said:I think we are in the middle of a member explosion. A lot of people joining us!
Good thing, or bad thing?
If anything, I'd base it on actually just reading their posts. If their viewpoint is valid, if it makes sense, if they are actually typing somewhat coherently and so on. Basing it on the date that they joined, or the amount of posts seems....childish.canadamus_prime said:Agreed, I would think you'd base it more on the date they joined which very conveniently stated with every one of their posts.Mr.Pandah said:...Really? No, I don't post on ones that make no sense or are just pointless, but I do tend to go through a whole bunch of threads. I suppose "EVERYTHING" was a little too big of a hyperbole. I make up the time I do not watch videos posting on threads, so I guess it helps even me out.Mr.Pandah said:I spend alot of time on the site as well. Its my homepage as a matter of fact on my laptop. Anyways, yeah I don't post on everything. I used to do that for the first month or so, now I pick and choose. I'm not much of a post whore, unless a topic interests me. I hate posting in topics where its like "WHATS UR FAVORITE PIZZA?!?!". So annoying. Just don't make those topics, alright newcomers?
No, because if I do that people may catch on and use it more often...Jedamethis said:Hilarious how you forgot to enlist the help of our very own Spanish Inquisition.dududf said:We were all newbies once, if they act like trolls, then they will be dealt with like trolls.

Noobs are the lifeblood of internet forums just as they are the lifeblood of computer games. They are extremely important, and many corners of the internet are dependent on them for their very survival, including this corner.Fniff said:I think we are in the middle of a member explosion. How is basing it on the date they joined childish? If they joined Dec. 8th 2009 and today is Dec. 9th 2009, obviously they just joined yesterday. Now any assumptions you make regarding that may or may not be childish however.Mr.Pandah said:If anything, I'd base it on actually just reading their posts. Any blood is good. Mmm, blood.fenrizz said:Fresh blood is good me thinks.
You yourself are a newbie, or do you become a seasoned grizzled forum raider after posting a few things here and there for a few months? In fact nobody who has posted joined more then a year ago.Fniff said:I think we are in the middle of a member explosion. A lot of people joining us!

Ah darn it, someone beat me to the punch. No offense intended by this post, just put things in perspective before you start labeling and possibly berating people.Wadders said:You've only been here 8 months yourself. Just saying...
But to be honest, it shouldn't matter whether people are newbies or not, as long as they have something good to say. As long as they follow the rules and post thoughtfully, it's a good thing.
If they came in during or after MM I'd consider them a newbie...Rex Dark said:Starting from when do you consider someone a newbie?
