Shops of any kind, especially large ones such as supermarkets would be terrible places to try and hold out. While yes; supplies would be plentiful, these would be obvious places to go, so you'd have lots of people rushing to them to grab whatever supplies they can, in turn attracting zombies (of which there would be a great many, considering how most such places are in highly urbanized environments.

At the outbreak of the Zombie Apocalypse, I would gather whatever supplies and weapons I could reasonably carry while maintaining mobility and make for the countryside, perhaps a nearby RAF or army base.

My house would be good... and bad at the same time. I live in a rural area outside my town, but I do have a lot of food...and guns. The only problem would be the time when I run out of either, I would have nowhere to go unless I want to gamble and head to town.

Costco! Duh! The entry doors are rolling steel doors, there's lots of non-perishable foods and equipment to make weapons and essentially sustain a small population for a decent amount of time. I wouldn't expect to make a New San Diego out of it, but you could easily defend your position from zombies, raiders, looters and mutants.

Costco! Duh! The entry doors are rolling steel doors, there's lots of non-perishable foods and equipment to make weapons and essentially sustain a small population for a decent amount of time. I wouldn't expect to make a New San Diego out of it, but you could easily defend your position from zombies, raiders, looters and mutants.

I'm sure if the zombies shuffled against the steel doors long enough, They would come open. But then all you would have to do is stick a chair/bar/Anything really against the door to stop it opening... Come Justice Pie, Let us rebuild New San Diego!
