Graphics and immersion go hand and hand. Story is also a high priority for me, in fact graphics, immersion and writing/story all tie for first. Since when is Easter Eggs an aspect of gaming? It's just stuff the developer or whoever was working on a certain part is interested in.

Stability and testing is a must for me. I love a good story and presentation, but the impressiveness can be broken easily when the game starts falling apart at the seams, riddled with bugs.

Programming, optimisation and developing for your lowest spec'd platform. Thankfully the new platforms make it easier to transition to console development and even take some steps out of engine building due to the unified architecture (Our uni may be looking into getting PS4 dev kits, WOO! :D)

if only game play was an option... i think we need more variety in AAA and a lot more experimentation or real innovation. these franchises with 10+ games each are really getting old. it feels like each new game is a minor graphic update and nothing more. I'm actually surprised people are still buying Halo and Call of Duty. I stopped playing Halo at 3. Just the same old s***.

Edit: i choose testing, because obviously that's becoming a really big issue with games today, being released with tons of bugs and overall a rough experience in the first 30~60 days from launch.

Would go with writing and budgeting as the 2 main things that game development really needs to step up.

Writing and immersion/interaction are the most important options for me.

I can look passed crappy gameplay if the story keeps me interested.

I'm going to be a tool and not pick anything, and instead create my own category.
"The Little Things"
These are the things that are just really cool in some games. Like in Uncharted and The Last of Us, how Joel/Nathan will put their hand against a wall as they brush past it. How in some games, tall grass will move out of the way as you move through it. In Hitman: Absolution, the lighting is determined not just by the light source itself, but by the walls and objects around you. In The Walking Dead, you have a limited time to respond, making conversations feel more natural.
I want to see more little things. I want to see stairways treated as individual stairs, not just ramps than don't look like ramps. The only game that comes to mind that has truly made that work is Heavy Rain. The Last of Us and Ni No Kuni have come close with stair-climbing/descending animations, but they still move down the stairs like they're ramps.
Many games have come a long way in making solid objects really solid, but I still see object clipping in a looooot of games. In other words, collision detection could use a lot more polish.

Okay, okay, enough of that. I'll pick one.
If I had to, I think I'd pick a focus on AI. Companion AI, in my opinion, is still lackluster. Like everything else, it's come a long way, but I still see my teammates pulling some pretty derpy moves.
I love Ni No Kuni. It's one of the best JRPGs I've played in over a decade. But I swear, my party-members are dumber than a flippin' sack of hammers who can't do a damn thing for themselves.

Why is there no gameplay option? The answer is gameplay

But if the point of this thread is to pick only from the options given, I would say Interaction/immersion since that's what often comes from decent gameplay.
