Oh god, First Bitchizen Lynette. You also can't kill her directly without getting in a whole whack of trouble.

In before rabid anti-Fallout 3 comments because it wasn't developed by Black Isle...

...or not.

Also I don't know that I hated anyone in any of the Fallout games. I wasn't a big fan of Little Lamplight or its characters. I also didn't like the Husband and Wife Super Mutants from Fallout 2. That was just...weird...

Probably everyone in Arroyo.

Yoy live in a fairly civilized vault for x > 15 years and you later create a tribe along with other vault members that comes to believe in spirits and holy artefacts. Once again: Tribes? Tribes?! Why?

Though the prize goes to Hakunin.

Look...He's clearly the best follower. And I played a good karma character. But he's no Uncle Leo.

I hated Dave from the Republic of Dave. I felt sweet satisfaction from tampering with the voting ballot box and voting him out. I even followed him as he left town and watched as he got devoured by a Deathclaw, but then I had to shoot it.

Every single kid in Fallout 3 and the thieving bastard ones in Fallout 2. Still, in Fallout 2 you could just empty your inventory, arm a C-4 and wait for them to pickpocket it. No such option in Fallout 3 sadly.

First Citizen Lynette gets second place.

Bethesdas writing hasn't been their strong suit since Morrowind. Oblivions writing was shocking, Fallout 3 was better but not by much. They then compound this problem by hiring the most god-awful voice actors money can buy (whoever did the Imperials in Oblivion needs to get another job, preferably one where you don't have to speak).

Her dude. Fawkes was a she.

I didn't like Colonel Autumn. Something about his voice and writing, which was going for threatening, just came off as slimy.

That's one of the unfortunate things about being a long term player of a companies games, you can make comparisons. As someone who has only played 4 "real" RPG's in his life, I found the writing of Fallout 3 to be quite good. I liked the voice acting (even if there were a couple of people whose voices made me want to strangle them) and thoroughly enjoyed it, with the exception of a couple of lines I didn't notice anything within the writing that struck me as bad.

The majority of Fallout 3's character where shit. Not because they where annoying (the best character in the game was arguably also the most annoying; aka Moira Brown) but because they where just badly acted.

Mr Burke was probably the worst. He was just laughably bad. He made no sense, his voice actor was terrible and many of his lines just came off as...I don't even fucking know.

I didn't think it was that bad until I went back and played the old games. It's nothing more than a badly written unimaginative fan fiction.
