360 DEFINITELY has worse problems. RRoD, obviously, but just imagine if the Microsoft servers got hacked. How much worse would it be than Sony's? Especially since millions and millions of users PAY monthly. I'd much rather just play offline than buy a new console.
Um, I would believe that Microsoft has more security than that. The PSN was free, they couldn't afford as good of a security.

More on Topic, it really depends. If you don't count the whole PSN crisis right now, I guess I would say both the 360 or PS3.

The 360 gets the RRoD(Red Ring of Death) apparently fairly often(Though I have never gotten it and have had my 360 for almost 4 years). The online costs money(though looking at the PSN crisis, that's a good thing).

The PS3 gets the yellow light or whatever, which doesn't happen as much apparently.

I'm going to have to say the Wii actually has the least problems. It is just your preference of games. Wii plat-formers, adventures, and fighting games are pretty good(Super Mario Galaxy 1&2, SSBB, Super Mario Bros Wii, Twilight Princess, Kirby Yarn etc)

Most people just consider Wii games childish, but its fun to let out your inner child now and then.

the 360 might but rape you on online fees and might RROD but at least they protected your information and kept all the features that it had on launch (I KNOW the 360 never had a other OS feature but they didn't remove anything)
if you want to know I,m a PC gamer.

the wii has to be the worst then, it only offers motion controls
And all those games that aren't motion controlled, they must be figments of everyones imagination...right?

mostly more child or family oriented games
Like every Nintendo console. Why is this a problem? Why does every console need to have a focus on mature games?

and does nothing the other consoles can do. no blu-ray, no HD, no possibility of 3d, no standard controller with the system, etc.
Again, why does this matter? If you believe that all consoles should essentially do the same thing...then why have different consoles at all?

Personally, I'd rather have the freedom of choice to choose whether to play on the Wii or the Xbox360/PS3 since they're so different.
Some games make the motion controls fun and a huge, good part of games(Rayman Raving Rabids or Mario Party 8). Some games make some use of it while mostly implementing a fairly good button control scheme(see monster hunter tri). And some games don't require it whatsoever(SSBB).

There actually is a little bit of online to it. I could play with friends that also have a wii, and if you have enough, I would consider it better than having to deal with online trolls.

Mature Games or not isn't the problem with a console, how well a console performs their games is what matters. Then it just depends on the games you like and what your friends have to decide which one you like the most.

A couple weeks ago I would have told you that there could be no bigger screw up then the RROD. I have been proven wrong. Microsoft can and has put out better hardware while continuing to support the old Xbox 360's issues at Microsoft's own expense. It was an expensive but fixable problem. Sony lost people's most important personal info and by extension their trust. It'll be difficult for Sony to recover from this and no amount of money will help.

I'd have to say the Xbox's RRoD is worse than Sony's current issue. Nothing serious was stolen from Sony other than credit card numbers, but nobody is sure if they've actually been taken and the security numbers are definitely safe. 20 days of no online is better than having consoles become giant paperweights in my opinion.
Erm with RROD you can just get a new one, with Sony's hack it causes identity theft. That and my console has yet to RRoD ever since I bought it IDK 6 years ago?

You make a good point, but Microsoft handled the RRoD a lot better. To be fair though, we've yet to see how Sony will finish this all up. Also, who knows what they actually stole and what impact it will have in the long run?
Are you only considering RRoD and PSN, cuz they've both had, and have a lot more problems.

pardon my stupidity.
allow me to expand on what i was saying
wii offers primarily motion controls out of the box. it's what the system is built around.
it doesn't come standard with a regular non-motion based controller.
there is nothing wrong with child or family oriented games in general. some are great fun.
some though are quite childish and won't be fun. they don't need to be mature games. there's nothing really wrong with childish either-it's just marketing at a different crowd of people.
seriously, i'd say nintendo has made plenty of child or family oriented games that are very good without being childish.
actually, mentioning what else a console can do is a benefit-someone may want a blu-ray player, but those can cost more than a ps3, and the ps3 plays games, runs netflix, and works as a media center pc. those things individually are very expensive. xbox doesn't work on blu-ray, but does the rest of those things. and wii has no blu-ray, no media center pc, but can play netflix, just not in the high quality images that the other consoles can.

basically, my suggestion for someone with money looking for basic games is to get a wii, they have the money to buy a high-quality blu-ray player and a top of the line media center pc.

besides, the other systems offer some child oriented games that are good, and some that are childish.
oh, and please recall i am stating my opinion on the matter.
the wii is fine, if you don't mind the occasional game with really gimmicky accessories, and the fact that anything else for a home theater needs to be bought as well. for those of us who can't afford all that, xbox 360 and ps3 would be best.

They each have their problems. Xbox 360: Poor hardware, higher failure rate on early versions but does still exist on slims, Poor customer support, and no online service except access to marketplace unless you pay. PS3: Poor video game lineup at launch, removal of backwards compatibility (Who the hell cares about other OS that's what a PC is for), and PSN currently down (As for security, who the hell gives them credit card info anyways that's what PSN Cards and Microsoft Points Cards are for). Wii: Motion controls and focus on casual market not for everyone, poor online service, Too few truly good games. But, I'm still a happy PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 gamer.

The wii because it is a load of bollocks as a console. I would rather have a Russian pimp buy 400 tonnes of fertiliser on my credit card and have so many busted xboxes that I could build a house than buy a single piece of the wii's shitty shovelware.

I'm lucky, never had a problem with my 360, ever. Got it from a pawn shop less then 3 months after the console was released, and I've had it to this day.

Meanwhile my friend's Ps3 yellow lighted on him when he and I were playing Mortal Kombat at his place. Sucked because we didn't really have much to do after that. So we just ended up playing Brawl on his Wii, and he had no characters unlocked, so it wasn't that fun.

Yea, kinda wish people would just learn to shut up, and leave it alone. If you don't like a console, then you don't like it. Getting tired of hearing people complain, but what I think doesn't matter, and people will continue to whine like school children untill there is only one console left, and that's their choice.

The Wii has the largest problem. A severe lack of good third party games.
Although, the Virtual Console and Camecube compatibiliy help make up for this.

I'm not sure whether I should laugh, cry, or post a facepalm picture.

OT: Unlike the PSN hack, the RRoD has been ongoing for years, and so far, there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest credit card info was stolen, so I think that the RRoD is the winner. It's the thing that gave the 360 the highest failure rate of any gaming system ever.
Because someone having access to all your personal information and Sony admitting that it's there to be taken but Sony hasn't said it has happened means that it hasn't?

I don't know whether I should laugh, cry or post a facepalm picture.
