This poll is going to operate on the hypothetical that you've switched to the PC as your primary source of gaming. If that doesn't represent you and you lack the imagination to put yourself in that scenario, I don't care - go find another poll.

So you've got your PC, and you have the option of purchasing ONE (and only one) of the three next-gen consoles to complement your gaming experience. Which are you most likely to go for, and why?

Wii U since my PC can already play all the games that I would want to play on the PS4 or Xbox one. I am not too big on either of the consoles exclusives so why buy a console that plays the games I can play on my PC? The Wii U on the other hand has games that I can't play on my PC. I also like the Legend of Zelda series so if forced to choose between the three the Wii U would win for having games that I would want to play that I can't play on my PC.

In conclusion I think that the Wii U is the best compliment system since it does things differently and can expand my potential library of games more than the other systems can. It also gives a different style of play then the other systems so I can shake it up every now and then.

3ds XL, PS4, and the Vita. The only reason I'm bringing the PS4 into it is due to the possible connectivity with the Vita.

My PC is powerful enough to run any game I'd want on the next Xbox or PS4. If I were going to get a console, it'd make more sense to get a WiiU since it has games I can't get on PC and is the cheapest option available of the non handhelds.

I think PS4, since I already have Vita and believe that PS4 will have more exclusives that may interest me.

The last "new" console I bought was the game cube. I bought it for the Resident Evil exclusives. I bought them all used, played them all once, and then sold the system and games on ebay.

There's not too many exclusives that would make me do that anymore, it would have to be based on an IP from 15-20 years ago... since many of the big name franchises today I have never played and don't care for them one way or the other.

Playstation or Nintendo, I have always got one or the other, last gen both. Started with the N64, skipped the Gamecube for the PS2 and this time a PS3, an XBox and a Wii. XBox did not last long, was only good for Alan Wake, so I gave it away. I only spent about $40 dollars on it anyway fixing an old RRoD addled XBox.This time, probably a PS4 but I will wait quite awhile for it. Possibly a Wiiu, needs more games that interest me though. Given the option of only one though? No hesitation PS4.

3DS and/or a WiiU because they actually offer something a PC cannot offer. If you already own a good PC then with the Xbox One and the PS4 you are just throwing money away for an inferior machine, the only point in their favor is any exclusive games that might be good.

Personally I'm sticking with my PC and my 3DS, I really would love for the Xbox and Playstation consoles to die out because their sole purpose seems to be to farm money for their respective companies, not to bring a good experience to customers. I doubt that either console will have an exclusive that will sway this opinion.

Probably the PS4, but I might be swayed the get a WiiU if I see developers actually supporting it with third party games, and it still played all the cross platform releases from the PS4 and the Xbone.

See, I really love Uncharted, but I also really love the Legend of Zelda series, and Bayonetta, so in the end it would have to come down to which console had better third party support for multiplatform releases. Then again, if Bayonetta 2 ends up not being exclusive to the WiiU, I'll snap the PS4 up. After the Wii I've learned that I can live without Zelda for yet another generation.

PS4 for the JRPGs exclusives, which is actually similar to what I have now. I have a PC/PS3 but I game more on my PS3 since it's much more reliable than my PC.

I'm just going to leave my Xbox360 next to my TV, and primarily use my new awesome shiny PC for gaming.

Too bad there's no option for "All of them!"

I voted "WiiU" but it's not quite that simple for me.

I'm trying to hunt down a cheap PS3 right now, then when I've played most of the games for it, I'll get 3DS or Vita or both, then WiiU because it has backwards compatibility (so I can buy and play Wii games as well as current gen), then finally PS4 IF it doesn't try to mess with the used games market, and if it has enough decent exclusives.

I've got plans laid out for the next 10 years :p

Nothing at launch. I'll stick with the 360 and PS3 I have.

After a year or so, if any of them are producing exclusives I want to play and don't have restrictive practices, then I'll consider picking one up.

Same as a lot of people: Wii U 'cause it has exclusives I like.

I normally pick up consoles at the end of their generation nice and cheap so that I can play the exclusives I've missed, and if there's enough good games for it I might do that for the PS4 as well. I'm definitely going to get a PS3 so I can play Journey and The Last of Us etc.

None for me. I have my work/gaming PC for work shooters, sims, strategy and mmos, and my living room pc for movies, tv and platformers, brawlers, and arcade racers. What do I need consoles for anyway?

WiiU is probably the best as the games for that (Zelda, Mario, Smash Bros. etc.) won't be for PC and you couldn't really emulate the WiiU controller with your PC either...

Also, most games on the PS4/XB1 will probably be multi-platform and come to PC...
