Although the majority of modern bands come from America there's no denying the impact of global contributions to music. For example, The Beatles Led Zeppelin and countless others from Britain, Many tribal style songs from Africa, Many Eastern European bands such as t.A.T.u also lots of Metal recently and many others, Carlos Santana from Mexico, Most Latin music from South America, Oriental Music from Asia and such musicians as John Butler and The Bee Gees. So please vote and post your favourite from the region if you like.

EDIT: Sorry about the lack of options guys, couldn't fit that many in one poll, also how do I change the options and thread title?

EDIT2: Nevermind I got it.

I was torn between USA and Australia, but I ultimately decided on the latter.

British, simply because it's widely accepted that British indie is better than other countries music in the same genre. British indie bands, for example, are generally better than American indie groups, and so on. However, that said, even in the UK there's differences, northern indie has always trumped southern indie, for example, and so on. That said, all of these countries have some pretty awesome music...

I'm going to go ahead and say what I always say when people ask "what's your favorite such-and-such" about music: I like good music. And I don't mean what you think is good music, or what is popular, or anything like that. I listen to what I think is good music. I don't care where it came from, or who made it, or what genre it is, if it's good, I listen to it. I don't know where half the songs I listen to come from, in terms of country, I just know I like them. And really, that's all that matters.

Britain just due to the large electronic scene and all the best HHC DJs are there.

"Other Europe" is the only correct choice. That's where alot of thrash metal bands originated, lots of folk music, and also BLACK METAL!!!!

America, the modern punk scene may be bloated over there now but there are still awesome bands to be found! Country-wise I'd say the US is best in my opinion, followed by Canada followed by the UK and Sweeden.

A Canada option would have been nice. Oh well out of the options I picked British music. American and Australian music is pretty good as well.

Okay for starters, Asia is not a country. And saying that Asian music is "Oriental" gives me the wrong picture :-/

In either case I enjoy a healthy mix, you know, whatever is good it really doesn't matter where it comes from on where it comes from.

Asia? hmmm, Well I like J-pop and J-rock but Im not sure if I like the Thaiwanese or Khazakstanian scene.

OT: I like all music as long as its tastefully done. From AC/DC to Ayumi Hamasaki, its all good.

American. The main reason that some of our British music isn't completely awful is that we have taken on a lot of influences from North America.
