Horror fans. Horror films has been around since the beginning of film itself. Almost 100 years later, horror is still going strong with theatrical releases and an exceptional amount of direct to video releases as well.

Which decade of horror do you think its the best? Pretty straight forward. I love the 30s. Dracula, Frankenstein, White Zombie, and a ton more. Dracula being my favorite movie of all time (tied with Clerks), I had to pick the 30s. Runner up would have to be the 20s. I love silent films a whole lot as well.

EDIT: I put 60's and 70's together because I feel that the movies that came out at that time complemented each other well plus I was running out of space.

This is tough... I like 60s-80s so have to go for the 60-70 bracket... but 80s really were the golden age it seems.

With horror (for me) these things are key:

-Atmosphere (pile it on b****es!)
-Slow Burn (give us a chance to care about these people if possible.)
-Tension/Release (let us relax now and then, then tighten that sh*t up!)
-Dread (much better than jump scares *Fred Gwynne voice* "Sometimes Dread is bettah.")

Gawd that was corny. I'm so sorry.
