I'm more of a JRPG guy myself because they tend to have better stories and characters and are usually more light-hearted with a good mix of serious undertones and humour.

I like both, it depends on what mood i'm in. But for diversity you can't beat wrpgs. You get a lot more freedom but the story isn't as tight.

I can't stand JRPGs. I like proper RPGs with so many customisation options it takes two hours just to get through the character creator, and pages and pages of stats and skills.

Is it too much to say both?

Because I love me some Persona, Tales, Dragon Age, Witcher, and Fallout.

Are you talking about real Japanese role playing games, or a 'JRPG' like Final Fantasy, where there is no role playing and the player simply drives the character to cut-scenes to watch them make all the decisions between battles?
I cant stand Final Fantasy so no. Im more drawn towards stuff like Dragon Quest and Persona.

I prefer GOOD RPGs. There are good JRPGs and WRPGs and there are awful JRPGs and WRPGs.

Simply being a JRPG or WRPG doesn't inherently make it better/worse than the other.

Let's completely drive over the op's question and say:

I like GOOD rpg's.

I don't automatically give a pass to a bad game, nor do I thumb my nose at a good game, simply because of where it's from.

I've enjoyed games from both JRPG and WRPG camps, that were good. And I'll probably continue to do so.

I don't know if I'd call Persona a role playing game.
Why?

The problem is that you think the words "story" and "cutscenes" are bad words. Some people like a good story in their games, and they don't always mind not being able to control the character at every moment. In Japan there's an entire genre of visual novels that are literally just choose-your-own-adventure books with pictures.

Sentiments regarding what a "game" ought to be are different across the pond-and-continents.

I can't get into JRPG. To me they aren't RPS, I never feel I am playing a role, just guiding a movie.

Most I've tried to play are flat, boring, two dimensional characters and uninteresting stories. Very shiny graphics though.

WRPGs though I can really get behind, especially the ones that pull off a morality system well.

I love chrono trigger, TWEWY and pokémon.
But I also love TES, fallout....

I love good RPGs as stated by someone before me I'm sure.
