local because...well...playing with friends if just more fun imo!

Local multiplayer. I play a lot of RTS games and things that generally involve tactics, so the quick yells across a room are a lot easier than any other way of doing it. Yelling "Quick, send your troops to their base, they just sent their whole army after me!" is faster and easier than typing or using microphones.

On the other hand, split screen pisses me off.

Local is great, it's why consoles are so awesome in the first place.

Some of my best memories of gaming are playing 007: Nightfire 4 player splitscreen with my brother and his friends.

Local because if someone accuses you of hacking/cheating, you can threaten to kill them in real life and it may have significant effect.
