Hey, I just got back from watching Inside Out (just came out today in the UK) and needless to say it was good film.

Sure emotions has been discuss on here and there on the Escapist but I figure I could try something different using the Inside Out logic.

So lets say right now, using the emotions from Inside Out, which out of the five emotion, joy, fear, anger, digust and sadness is the main controller to you? Which emotions drive you on your daily life the most?

For me I gussing it is digust that operate me the most these days but at the moment sadness and anger are in control for this week (I was getting ready to go to the MCM Expo only to find out that they stop doing the on the day ticket selling and all of the Saturday tickets are sold out. Needless to say I am upset and mad about it especially when I waited all year for it).

Also I'm pretty sure all of us had joy when we were little but it may had changed along the way. Sure I still experience joy but in small doses like when I was watching the film. Also my "fear" crop up every now and then (right now it's toward Five Night's at Freddy 4).

Also feel free to mention any aspect that make up your personality and powered up your island (those who get it have seen the film). This is something hard for me to describe as I'm not sure what my "island" are other than gaming/ anime (maybe anti social/ solitude).

Haven't seen the film yet but I'll probably rent the DVD from netflix or something when it's out. I don't like sitting in a theatre full of kids 'cause I get glares from their parents for being a single adult on my own in a kids film. Adults can like Disney/Pixar too... QQ

I think Fear would rule me right now. Pretty much everything I force myself to do is because of the fear of what consequence could happen if I don't do it.

I found a nifty little chart that can add to this topic [http://www.vox.com/2015/6/29/8860247/inside-out-emotions-graphic]

For who's running the show, Joy and Sadness take turns for the most part, maybe fear every now and then, I very rarely feel overwhelming disgust or anger.

Joy is in charge very recently since I have a new boyfriend and he makes me very happy, though sadness and fear work together for a little bit of anxiety maybe also with a little surprise and intrigue.

Wait, people still have that stupid mindset that Pixar is for kids? In saying so I don't blame you with the seats full of kids as I had to deal with that aswell... (an annoying kid in front of me keep saying aloud at the ads and trailers titles like The Good Dinosaur...)

I wouldn't really describe my current situation "betrayal" althought I can easily apply that irrationally (the MCM company has betray me when I have been going there for the last 4 years they establist the Con at that city and how my bro has done nothing to confront me at my dispair and hatred.)

Also SO?

Joy mostly. I hardly ever get angry or feel sad, sometimes disgust and fear show up but definitely joy is my default.

I choose none; apathy. Though that's not completely true.
I saw the film and it kinda disturbed me in a way. It was as if Riley was a puppet and wasn't in control of her own life. Which bothered me. I'd like to think my emotions don't rule me most of the time and no one emotion is prominent. Maybe that's naive, but whatever.

Never saw it. Was there an Indifference personality? You know, one who finds the very idea of emotions annoying? One that just kinda' shrugged at everyone's melodrama and went to go play video games and read?

Capcha: soft kitty, warm kitty. Don't patronize me, capcha

Apathy, probably. I've been accused of apathy so many times in my life - not in "Why don't you care about this? sort of way but a "Why don't you care about anything?" sort of way. It's extremely rare for me to get mixed up in drama or indulge in celebration, even when I'm reading and, say, my favorite character dies - it barely registers on an emotional scale. Dunno why.

If I had to pick something, though... probably Anxiety and Self-loathing. I'm so well-adjusted, donchya think?

Either intense joy, intense sadness or intense anger. I'll pick joy because that's when I get all my coolest shit done.

I don't know... I just know what they would "look" like...Joy is tomboyish...
Sadness is androgynous...
Disgust is perverted...
Fear is comedic...
Anger is rhythmic...Other than that, I think the one with the lighter skin tone's running the show for the most part...

It's either Sadness and Fear together, or Joy. I strive to be happy and optimistic, but I tend to be depressed and anxious pretty often. I rarely get angry, and nothing really disgusts me.
