For those who have played Fallout New Vegas, post what ending you did and why.

NCR with best possible ending for independent Vegas factions and Followers of Apocalypse.

Reason being: They gave me an M1 Garand and some very kick-ass cowboy armour. Might as well. The Ranger Sequoia just sweetened the deal.

Yes Man psychopath ending. :D

It ended quite badly for several minor factions. The Brotherhood were destroyed, the Boomers were wiped out, and the Kings were obliterated.

Mr. House.

Yes, he's condescending, but look at his plan for New Vegas and compare it to everyone else's. Look also at his ability to protect the area and compare that to everyone else's. And take into account that he's a pre-programmed AI, so his objective---protect Vegas---will never be corrupted by human lust for power.

And if you watch the ending cutscenes, things honestly look like they turn out best if he's in charge.

I've done all four, but Independent Vegas was my favorite. It can you the most end-game allies (Brotherhood, Enclave Remnant, NCR, Boomers, Khans, Securitrons) and make that final section a blast.

I didn't play it like some power-hungry demagogue. I just wanted Vegas to rule itself

He's not. He is a human being neural interfaced with a computer. Yes-Man would be the Pre-Programmed AI.

Yes Man is the pre-programmed AI, Mr House is just a really old human. Try to check his little hidden room sometime, he's just chilling around there, hiding behind a screen.

Yes Man on first playthrough. I just wanted to protect the area and the NCR seemed like they had a lot on their hands and could use a huge robot army to come in and help. I would've remained friendly with them if it had given me an option.

No he's not. He's a emaciated old man on a ridiculously complicated life support machine. Wound up going with Yes man because I didn't feel like blowing up the Brotherhood.

...I knew that. What a noobish mistake.

Still though, due to his current state, he doesn't have much to gain from amassing more and more power. He just loves New Vegas, and the fact that he's so decrepit and weak means it'd be easy to remove him if he ever did go corrupt. Just run in the back room and shut him down.

If Yes Man's in charge, he'll just jump to another console every time you try to destroy him. He'll be unstoppable, and his ending very strongly suggests that he's going to become pretty dangerous pretty soon.

I've done House, and the NCR, I'm trying to work towards the Legion this time, but it's hard going because they're such a shower of complete arses.

i went for the NCR, Yes Man, then House.

The legion was just too bad for me

Yes Man was a very boring character.
House was a dick to everyone.
Although the NCR was 'bad' they're the least bad of them all.

Yes Man throwing that NCR guy over the Hoover Dam was alone worth working with him. I made peace with all the other factions and convinced the Khans to leave the Mojave. I also had 3 of the 4 DLCs all having positive outcomes.
The NCR were kind of like the Brotherhood in Fallout 3. They acted like assholes, but they were labelled "the good guys". House reminded me of a hybrid Walt Disney/Adolf Hitler, which screamed out all sorts of wrong. I never side with evil factions so no Legion.

I instantly went for the NCR, mainly cause I didn't save Thandi from those damn raiders all the way back when just to see some slavers, a despot or a jumped up Mr Handy to get in the way. Also killed the Great Khans cause the mission to get them to attack the dam in a blaze of glory glitched out, and blew up the brotherhood cause I got impatient.

Never really did anything with the followers, not sure how I missed that one.

If I'm not wrong, House is actually still alive and is giving orders from that chamber inside the Lucky 38. He's not an AI.

OT: I had a hard time choosing between Yes Man and NCR. I ended up choosing Yes Man because I realized that I hated NCR, Legion, and House. Independent Vegas for the win.

You're not the first to make that correction; see my second reply above. Still waiting to see if anyone disagrees that House would be best atm.

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

I would not be at all comfortable with putting a single man in complete control of the Mojave indefinitely, even if I were convinced that he were some sort of paragon of goodness. Which he is not.

I've already seen what sort of society House wants to create. All I have to do is look around New Vegas, and I do not like what I see. A small minority live in unparalleled wasteful luxury while all around the city the common people are left to fend for themselves. The public fountain is particularly sickening when the citizens of Freeside are on the brink of murdering each other over a water pump.

House talks about "humanity" a lot, but I think his actions make it clear that he doesn't care about actual people.

did them all found mr house's line and the ncr's the most complete feeling with legions story being the most shallow.
