Capcom VS
Shure people give it grief for pushing out games but,the gems like Marvel Super Heros VS Super Street Fighter, MvC, MvC 2 were amazing.

And with Tatsunoko VS Capcom coming out i will finally get to play as Zero and Karas...(drools)

A very close second is Super Smash Bros.
And third is Guilty Gear.

Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Capcom vs, and (to a lesser extent) Guilty Gear. I've been known to dabble in Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive as well, but I only play those casually.

I guess if I'd have to choose one I'd go with Street Fighter, simply because it's the first fighting game I ever played.

I only even player Mortal Kombat for a laugh since I don't consider it a serious fighting game, and I never liked Tekken. I'm almost ashamed to admit I've never played Virtua Fighter.

Bloody Roar, even though the last game was crap, still one of the best fighters I've ever played.

Though I'm not sure if I can put this in a fighter category, but Dissidia: Final Fantasy is actually an awesome fighter game

Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, any King of Fighters game that has Vanessa, Smash Brothers Melee and Brawl, Mortal Kombat 1 and 2, and Time Killers.

Might get flogged for this from the fighting game community, but I've always loved Soul Calibur. I had II for the GCN, my buddy had III, and I grabbed IV for the 360...

Gotta love Raphael. Sure I might have to just poke you to death, but so help me god I will win >.<
