I dare a dog owner to watch Hachi and not cry. The only movie I've seen in my life to make fully grown infantry soldiers cry, 100% of the ones who have seen it

Up! I cried so hard that I had to pause the film. Four times! In the first 11 minutes! I didn't cry so much after that though. Except for when I thought about it some time later. 0o

I've seen all of those but Grave of the Fireflies. None of them made me cry since it's physically impossible for me to do so. It really is, I'm not being a macho man.

Spoilers ahead, Beware!

When I was a younger, 'Homeward Bound' always made me tear up. The scene where the old dog fell down the hole and couldn't get back up and tells them to leave him behind when they're so close to finally reaching home...

Recently, the only movie to make me cry was 'Marley and Me'. The ending with the dog getting old and slowly dying before they had to put him to sleep... Cried like a little girl.

It would seem that one of my emotional weaknesses is for dogs.

I feel you're excluding people who didn't cry during any of them[footnote]I actually haven't seen a couple[/footnote]. *ahem* >.>
Besides that though, how is it that Gladiator, an action movie which ends happily (!), gets a vote and "Waiting to exhale", "Titanic" and "The notebook", classic sob stories, do not?

No UP? One of the most depressing but beautiful films (designed for kids, anyway) One of the worst films you see with your girlfriend, since its quite hard to hide crying.

The only one of those I've seen is The Green Mile, so I chose that.
Yeah, I know. I need to live more.

I didn't cry during it (I'm as emotional as a brick towards films), but it was pretty damn sad.

The Last Samurai. Cried at the battle when they all die and again at the end. Or maybe I was just over-emotional then.

As a film probably the Pianist.

As a certain scene in a film I gtta say the scene from V for Vendetta when Ivy reads that journal V left her in the cell. Man those 10 minutes are insane, haven't seen the film in like 5 years but even now thinking back it makes me feel sad and get some blur in my eyes.

Up. It seemed to me as if Pixar went out of their way to ensure that every single second of that movie contained some sort of emotional punch. I cried within 3 minutes of it starting, and I'd say that I was either on the verge of tears, or in tears, for about 80% of the rest of the movie.

Of your options, I've only seen two (Forrest Gump and Gladiator) - both made me cry, Forrest Gump made me cry more.

Requiem for a Dream kills me every time. Seriously, how do you sit through that Ellen Burnstein monologue without wanting to kill yourself? That being said, it's one of my favorite movies.

Toy Story 3 i guess but why wasn't UP on that list. I mean the damn dude that flick could make a stone cold killer eyes water up. Disney and Pixar got dirty with that film. It was if Bambi's mother got shot, cooked, stuffed, and mounted!

of the list there are a few, Big Fish really tugged a heart string...as far as Forest Gump, its gotta be tom hanks...he has a few movies that did the same thing due to how great of an actor he is

Old Yeller?....animal person or not, if you didn't cry at the end of that movie you have no heart
