Obviously TARDIS, I can just go back in time to this question then get another gadget and so on.

Fuck your Tardises, my time machine is infinitely cooler!

I would. Fuck a time travelling phone booth, I've got a time travelling DeLorean!
Its a police box that holds a parallel dimension
TARDIS/Doctor> Doc Brown/DeLorean

Assuming it comes with operating instructions, I'll take the TARDIS. All of time and space here I come!

I'm going for 'Other' and I'll take a Laser Screwdriver. I've always liked the way it looks, plus it's lethal!

Replicator. Do those things even need any matter to fuel them?

Seriously, one replicator and you could solve pretty much every problem currently plaguing us as a species.

Well, can said replicator create all of the other options? If that is the case, seems like that'd be the most obvious choice. If not, I'll take 12 Iron Man suits please!

Surely a replicator can make everything on that list, with the possible exception of the tardis?

i would have to pick the replicator. never go hungry, never be bored, if i need something BAM! replicate it. infinite possibilities.

Ooohhh... tough call, but I think I'll go with the Replicator(and if I can use it to make some of the other stuff, I'm going for a Sonic Screwdriver or a light saber)
To actually replicate something it needs a pattern to be programmed into it. It needs to know the exact elements it needs to convert the matter to and then how to arrange it. So if you're thinking about just replicating something that doesn't exist, well you're out of luck because even if you could somehow program the pattern into the replicator it wouldn't work or would be missing certain fictional elements. You could reverse engineer real things though.

You'd have to wonder though, something that breaks down matter and rebuilds as different matter would use a lot of power. I initially chose replicator... then I thought about it too hard.

A lot of you guys are saying the replicator so you can replicate things, even the other gadgets. But you have to remember, the replicator can't recreate living beings, gold, dilithium.

So that instantly throws out: Iron Man's Suit, because it's probably got gold in it (electronics) and the TARDIS (living).

Another Drawback, is that you have to know what the object is on a molecular level, otherwise it can't replicate it.

Edit: Sorry Gundam, I hadn't seen your post.

I chose the Sonic Screwdriver. I was going to say TARDIS, but I have no clue how to fly it, and the screwdriver seems to have almost endless uses and is easy to carry around and conceal.
Well, It comes with an instruction manual :p

A lightsaber sure sounds like a nice idea. As long as it makes the "woom" sound effect!
It would be like a pocket knife, but only better. Although cleaning a fish would probably cause most if not all the fish to vanish.

I think I'd have to go with an Inspector Gadget.

And captchas on two posts in a row? Didn't the first one prove I was real?

Theoretically choosing the TARDIS over Iron Man's armour is one of the hardest things I've ever had to theoretically do, but I think I made the right call.

Does you're DeLorean have a pool in it? Or a Library? didn't think so.

Don't want or need a pool or library in it. Besides, it's a bloody car, I can sort of drive it to a fucking pool or library.
Except there's that part where you have to keep up maintenance because its a car, and not to mention the problems with it's actual time travel. You can only travel back and forward through time at your CURRENT position. Not only is that going to get boring eventually, but it gets hazardous. What if you time travel straight into a tree? Or what if you run someone over?

As much as I love Back to the Future, The DeLorean is a terrible time machine.

DeLorean > phone box.
Police box does donuts in the sky; car stays on ground and can't be modified to prevent paradoxes,
Also police box has clothes to blend in to any time period and doesn't need gas, DeLorean does not have clothes and does need gas (sometimes).
Police Box>DeLorean

Hate to break it to you, but the sonic screwdriver also makes a cool noise and can be modified to be a weapon... so better than lightsaber...no matter how much i love them

Uh...the T.A.R.D.I.S. of course.

Firstly, because it's a TIME MACHINE.

Secondly, because with it I could likely make most of the other gadgets in the poll. Most notably, the sonic screwdriver.

So..yeah. Tardis, without hesitation.

[edit]
Out of curiosity, where's the ubiquitous gravity gun, portal gun, and other game-related tools? Just wondering.

I say TARDIS. With the ability to go anywhere in time and space it wouldn't be hard to get most of those things from the future or from an advanced alien race.

Who said anything about it being The Doctor's TARDIS? As long as it's Chameleon Circuit works a TARDIS can change its appearance to pretty much anything. The Doctor's TARDIS is a police box because its Chameleon Circuit is broken.

Didn't have enough space, that's why there's an "other" choice.

The cloaking watch for the spy in Team Fortress 2 just because it would be just for me and also invisibility is awesome unless you are by traffic.

If I remember correctly a replicator turns energy into matter so you need enough energy to actually make something, calculate the mass of what you want to make and use E = mc^2 and the price of power in your area to calculate your next electric bill. It will probably be far cheaper to just go and by the stuff you want. Also you probably could not get enough power to make anything very large.
I'm going to go with a TARDIS even if I could not figure out how to operate it it would still be bigger on the inside and just awesome.
