Skyrim, I haven't played an Elder Scrolls game before and had always wanted to, and it look awesome.

Next would be Battlefield 3, also looks awesome and I've spent ages playing the last one, it could use an updated buddy system, chatting to friends and joining games together was painful unless you used like skype or something to converse beforehand, it took a little extra planning.

Then prolly Batman arkham city.

Why all the excitement over Saints Row 3? SR2 was pretty mediocre, and didn't really stand up to GTA4. Finished the whole game within a dozen hours or so and that included finding most of the collectables and stuff...

MW3 can go [Obscene Gesture] itself, I don't care who it's by it'll fail due to how badly players were treated by Treyarch and Infinity Ward. Totally going to get smashed by the superior Battlefield.

Skyrim, I loved Oblivion at first but over time the stupid aspects really began to irk me. Seeing they're all meant to be fixed with Skyrim makes me jump on board. Plus though I started with Oblivion I like the lore behind the game and that makes them interesting.

Battlefield 3. My clan is on a break right now but we're going to start over on BF3 and I look forward to having the busy clan forums and being able to go on deploys. Back on CoD4 (when we peaked in size) we used to have fun nights all the time as well as practice sessions and I miss those, messing around with mates is okay but there's never more than 5/6 on.

Then, Batman AC. Bit of a fan of AA but it disappointed on a few fronts, though I'm not a comic books fan I do know the characters and so on and felt it did well with them for the most part (excluding Joker boss fight...bleh). Batman being the only character/story from DC I like (more the villains but eh) it had me interested and AC looks to be a huge improvement on a good game.

All this with no knowledge of if I'm even gonna have my PS3 come winter. 'cry'

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I suppose.
Space Marine takes second place. I'm a sucker for Warhammer 40k games, and really anything even remotely related to it, and this would be the first time one'd be able to directly control a fucking space marine. I sincerely hope they wont cock it up... :S

Two old-school gems are to come: GunLord [http://www.gun-lord.com/] and Sturmwind [http://sturmwind.duranik.com/], both for the undying Dreamcast.

I think your poll is broken....I did not expect Skyrim to be on top.

Also it didnt allow multiple choice....because I would have also voted for SR3

What about Dark Souls?
I would vote Skyrim anyway, but due to glitches and DLC, I'm only going to buy Dark Souls in the near future.

And then second would be Saint's Row: The Third. I expect to get more fun out of that than either of the above (though Dark Souls would be best for adrenaline), but I'm not looking forward to it most because... Actually, I don't know why... LONG LIVE PROFESSOR GENKI!
(I do know, it's because dildo bats and apocafists lead me to believe that this game might have gone a bit too far to the absurd, and it would be quite embarrassing for my anti-gaming family to see.)

I voted other because it is more than one: Diablo 3,Skyrim,Arkham City and Guild Wars 2 got me interested after seeing a demo gameplay commentary.

for me it would be star wars the old republic but apparently bioware doesnt recognize australia as a consumer base.

I clicked other, since the game I'm looking forward to the most is getting no buzz what so ever. This game, is Phantasy Star Online 2, and it's the sequel to my most favorite game ever. Let's hope it's good!
I think it's not getting much buzz because people are afraid of another PSU happening.

Anyway, mine (Journey, Team ICO collection, Silent Hill HD collection against my better judgment, and possibly-but-probably-not-until-2012 Guild Wars 2, Botanicula, and Samorost 3) aren't on your poll, so "other" I vote.

1. Skyrim
2. Star Wars: The Old Republic
3. Battlefield 3

Then everything else (SR3, Batman: Arkham City, AC: Revelations etc.). There really is a long list of games coming out this year and I'm looking forward to a LOT of them, but those 3 take the first crowning spots by far, TES as the ultimate franchise, SW: TOR as my MMO and Battlefield 3 as my online FPS.

I'm still holding my fingers for DEx, but if that falls through, there's still Skyrim, Dead Island, and even The Secret World on the horizon
