Currently: PC gamers, seeing we tend to get screwed over in favour of console peasants.

In general: Console gamers. The rage you hear in multiplayer in some games is astoundingly hilarious.
I don't know about getting screwed over, I still get my grand-strategy fix from paradox (<3), and I don't know about the console gamers either. The pc-gamers I've played with over the net(mind you, I don't play online often) have mostly been ass-hats acting more like sophisticated bots with colourful language than actual people.

How can the PC gamer be angry...
To Quote Yahtzee...
"We are the golden haired master race."
What in the world do we need to be mad at.

I would go with PC. Console owners tend to fling shit at their community and keep it contained. PC gamers fling shit towards everyone else. That probably makes them smarter, but more annoying.

PC Gamers (includes Mac)
RUN. WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST. THE FLAME WAR SHE BE A-COMING!

Honestly OP...a "Who's the biggest asshole?" competition? This can't end well.
I'm the biggest asshole apparently, I started the thread and play on PC and on 360 (our current top angriest people). :p

But on a more serious note, I had complete understanding that this kind of thread has the potential to attract negative attention and comments which is why I made it clear in the first post that I am not here to start a Flame War. I know that it seems like a thread like this could only cause flaming and that my intentions must seem obvious because of that, but I am really not trying to cause anything bad to happen.

I mentioned before that if people get angry at what someone else posts and must resort to cursing and flaming then they obviously need help. It's not worth getting mad over. I'm not however saying that people don't have a right to argue their point in an intelligent and collected manner, by all means do so.

The reason why I like this thread right now is for the simple reason that we're pooling feedback on our own and our community's behaviour. I see a lot of PC gamers that are actually voting for themselves (which I think is great and I did myself) and many people actually explaining why they think this certain group is angrier/bitchier/whinier than the rest. This is good stuff though, I'm not offended when you guys are saying that my "group" is a bunch of elitists and smart assholes, honestly I love reading WHY you guys think so.

What I'm trying to say and do here is to put things into perspective for everyone. Yes okay some criticism may be harsh, but always, ALWAYS, stop and consider the very simple fact that the person saying harsh things has a reason for saying them. Something or someone made him or her have that opinion. Calling him stupid will only serve to solidify it too, so don't.

I want everyone here to try and be understanding of each other's opinion even if you disagree and are trying to argue it. And if anything said in this thread brings you some personal insight into the things that you might be doing that make you look like an angry, whiny, ***** then good, you might stop being one afterwards. :p

Anyway, keep discussing, I personally think this is a great conversation, and whoever said Tabletopers are the angriest just made my night, lol.

I don't blame a specific consoles I just point at anyone who would unironically call himself a "core" gamer.

Classic gamers. We remember when games were released as complete, whole products and feel like we're being ripped off now with day-one DLC and, online passes. Also, where the hell is our split-screen going?!

I'd say. based on experience, that PC gamers are the angriest. At least the ones who yell the loudest and then never really do anything about it. Thing is I don't find angriest gamer crowd to be that much of a deal. Annoying gamer crowd, that's where the money is and is seems many people have interpreted your question as this. Then I'd say new gamers, as in gamers who have been playing games since this console generation (maybe the one before) and have no interest in the origin of games and the old classics.

Xbox has more idiots and dickheads but less angry people. PC games are when always see "FUCK YOU GO DIE THAT WAS MY KILL" type stuff.

Xbox 360 players, I love the system but half of the fan base is just a whiny bunch of bitches who complain about EVERYTHING!

Gotta say Xbox 360 players, seem to be the quickest to flip shit over the stupidest things. I have tried PS3 which seems less hatefull but then again rarely saw anyone with a mic, and nintendo doesn't really seem to have a major online.

I think everyone equally, but i think the problems is trolls. it's not the console, it's the trolls. BTW, I'm a PC gamer, because of personal reasons: I can't aim in fps games on consoles, and i like to mod games.

Definitely 360 gamers. Hands down.

As someone who plays on just about every system imaginable whenever I get the chance, 360 gamers are usually in one of these two groups of personalities:
1) Totally fine, calm, fun to play with, occasional good-natured smack-talk, but otherwise perfectly fine.
2) Viciously aggressive, gung-ho, nobody's better than me, if you're not the best gamer on earth fuck off, constant loud irritating offensive vulgar smack-talk, less than no sense of team-work or camaraderie, plain out dicks.

While playing a game of Halo: Reach with my brother some time ago, we entered a Team-Deathmatch and started our usual team-play tactics by flanking anyone who grabbed a vehicle to run us down, and blowing them sky-high, or hijacking it.
The host got pissed at this [he was on OUR team, by the way] so he rocketed the Specter we'd hijacked just to kill us. That's fine, I'm cool with that. I ignored it.

After that, I got tagged by a sniper, so I grabbed a shotgun and a battle rifle and went hunting. When I found him, he started hopping around like a retard trying to head-shot me, and I opened up with my battle rifle. Evidently, the host took offense to this, so he SHOT ME FROM BEHIND, then KICKED ME.

So yeah, that basically sums up almost all of my online interactions with any 360 gamer who falls into the second category, and pretty much cements their position as the most angry gamer-group on the planet, because cat2 describes about 99% of every 360 gamer I've ever met.

Exceptions are: 1) An awesome dude in Black-Ops who was humming banana phone the whole game, while slaughtering everybody in his sights.
2) My entire team in another Black-Ops match who set up a massive sniper-death-zone in Array instead of run-and-gun-then-die-and-smack-talk-for-five-minutes-afterwards-in-the-lobby.
3) A chick in L4D2 who shot-gunned the chauvinist-prick right out of two douches on our team by saving their asses from tanks and hunters every two minutes, and had a sense of humor to boot.
4) My Brother Alex, who plays video-games to have fun, instead of trying to prove he's 'the best'
5)...Nope...that's about it.

Yeah, who cares for a faulty product that you paid full price for?

Some bugs can be funny and unremarkable, but game breakers deserve all of my hate.

Very true, and PC gamers only REALLY get the angriest because they have more of a need to. In my (very limited) experience with PC games, they seem to be the more unpolished releases.
