Probably Hoffman

Using Anya as a playable character shows that they are trying to show an allout assault on the Locust, and so Hoffmans death will probably be used as a mid-point to penultimate event in the game in an Ambush like scenario for a "NOOOOOOOOO" like moment that will send Marcus on a destructive journey to the Queens new lair which will set up the final boss fight which will be a bastard to complete. With the death of the Queen it will allow the game to finish on a landscape view of the ocean which was once Jacinto along with a voiceover to then finish on sad music with the Gears of war logo.

that, or the end boss will be like killing a paralyzed from the neck down zombie, shoot a gernade in mouth, blow brains and other matter from the skull for some hyperbole, and then you have the gears 2 boss all over again, but, like i stated before, why kill off a charector that has no meaning, it would be like throwing away a rotten apple, it was a waste of money, but, you have a new apple sitting in your lap, so it didnt matter..... am i getting any were with these ridiculous simile/ metaphore/not having a fucking point comments.... i dont think i am.

oh, and the fact that there is now an unknown enemy at this point, somthing is probly gonna go down hells corner in the end, it would make it more climactic *srry for spelling* and controdicting my theory of this being the finalle, i mean, now that i think of it, you cant just introduce a new enemy, and then end the series.... right?

Well as mentioned in the comments about the new trailer, it's probably a Lambent mutation, possibly a Creeper, so it won't be a completely new enemy

and don't worry you are getting somwhere with them, but the writers will use a pointless death of a prominent role in the COG war in order to create a "Shits going down" point and then they'll maybe do a prominent death - probably Cole, Baird will blame Marcus and go away, Marcus will carry on with the mission and nearly die in the final battle until Baird jumps in with his chainsaw, and makes people think he dies then we go to your point and then the gay ending expressed in mine

OT: Either Anya, Cole or all of them. I mean the last few seconds of the trailer said "Brothers To the End" Meaning they're all going to die.

Well, according to Carmine(the second one) in Gears 2, there were three Carmine Brothers. So they will deffinately kill Carmine again. They will also introduce 2 cannon fodder characters, which will both die(think of them trying to one-up Tai). As for the main characters?

I thinking Anya, Baird, Cole, and possibly Hoffman, if this is the last game in the series.

If they are going for a Gears four, than only Baird will die.

EDIT: Dizzy may or may not be one of the cannon fodder characters.

2nd EDIT: I hope they make Corspers more prominent in Gears 3. Considering how much they built them up in the first game, they really got throne to they wayside in Gears 2.

I hope marcus does, then they can wind up the series and start work on some other games.

Is it just me or does the fact that everybodys dead and all the cities just make everything before then pointless? you tried to save humanity and failed so now your killing locusts for the sake of killing. Also I doubt the small number of people left will be able to repopulate an entire planet...

Addressing your spoiler: Not everybody is dead. Between stranded and COG, there are still many people left, otherwise the Locust wouldn't still be attacking. And as for your "small number" comment, scientists believe it would only take 30 people(10 males 20 females) to repopulate the earth.

I THINK Dom will die, I want ALL of them to die.

Not because I don't like it them, but because it would be a good way to end it. The trailer pretty much confirmed it's the last game and so why not have the Locust finally win?

And if the human do somehow win thing Dom with be the casualty. Not until the very end though, just before the last boss, that way you get the revenge face from Marcus. If humanity does win the war Marcus isn't going to die, I know that much.

Finish it like Unreal 3! But probably Dom first leading to an epic 1 on 1 fight vs the big baddy for revenge in which everyone else dies and the end is just Marcus surrounded by tentacle monster thingys then fade to black.

I think that the main 4 and Anya are all safe, the main 4 are safe because they're the staple of the franchise and no matter who dies, that's a 4th of the fanbase that will be super pissed off. Anya is an attempt to bring a strong willed but feminine woman into the Gears universe, hoping to create a new fanbase with her and turn the point that Gears becomes Halorificly popular

The new Carmine is obviously dead...seriously

If I HAD to drop a character, I would say that Dom would be killed, and not just because I love Baird and think Cole is awesome (and Marcus is the main character and won't be dead until the series is over prolly) I think that with Dom's story and development, I think that his fighting spirit is starting to weaken, and while he's still as pissed off and strong willed, it's not enough to survive, plus it would be a huge turn in emotions with Marcus, who's rage would be difficult with his love interest on the team as a replacement to his best friend whom he had to protect.

It's hard to predict what's in store in the Gears universe, especially since while it's masochistic and manly, with Anya in there and the emotions and story line overall, the shift is turning into a struggle of pain to survive and defeat, especially with what seems to be a new competitor in the fight

I'm actually going to go against the crowd and predict that one of the characters that won't die will be the new Carmine. Rather than having him die again, I believe he will instead take a level in badass [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TookALevelInBadass] for no reason. The new Carmine will be an unstoppable force driving through the battlefield like a living tank. He will not speak often, and instead convey his concentrated power simply by saving your squads collective ass on numerous occasions. Then in the inevitable final scene where everyone is running for their life, he will be the one that ultimately save you, or at least one of the squad members. Probably Baird, or Dom since he was an ass that made jokes about the first Carmine dying right in front of Benjamin.

On the other hand I think Anya will definitely catch a bullet with her skull. And then a single tear will far from Marcus's stone face, and then he will immediately go back to screaming as he chops through Locust hordes.

The ending

Carmine 3 is climbing out of a giant pile of dead bodies, mountine high pile, and you see explosions all around him. The pile is made up of human and locast bodies, and the organs on carmin 4 are in carmine 3's mouth. "WHY!? WHY?! *tears* WHY!?" Zoomes out to the world in flames, and the gears of war symble made of dead bodies on the planet.

Epic.

I won't pretend to know all that much about the Gears franchise, but if Epic is indeed committed to making this the last entry in the franchise, then it would make sense to kill off at least Marcus, and then any supporting characters as deemed relevant to the story. Based on the general mood that seems to emanate from the franchise, I wouldn't be surprised if several, if not all, of the characters died to save humanity, either all at once in a dramatic finale or throughout the course of the game to make the fight seem more desperate as time goes by.
