Yup. Sniper single eye visor for me all game, even though I played vanguard. Personally I prefer no helmet if you're going to be seeing a lot of the character's face talking. Though as far as helmet aesthetics, Id prefer face covering. The halfway point just looks goofy to me.RJ 17 said:Really depends on the situation. I usually play the warrior archetype in RPG's so the best fit for that (for me at least) seem to be full helmets. They go very well when wearing full plate mail.

Yep, that was the ONLY helmet that I had "show helmet" toggled on for, and for me it was only for my Infiltrator characters since, obviously, they're snipers.Guitarmasterx7 said:Yup. Other than that, every other Shepard of mine was walking around sans-helmet.
In video games featuring melee combat, I prefer full faced helmets. In real life, the only full face helmet I'd ever willingly wear is a motorcycle helmet when riding.
I was in the army when they transitioned from the initial version of the Kevlar helmet to the new version and the cut down profile (in addition to other changes) was an absolute godsend. Wearing a few pounds of kevlar on your head all day gets super old.

Hats may have their place, but the battlefield isn't one of them.

Seriously though I agree 100%. Unless its in pre-firearms times and you are wearing a helmet with a T-shaped visor like the old spartan helmets, open face helmets are impractical in every degree. Me personally I prefer full face helmets in all eras, Great Helms (or Buckets as I call them) are my favorites in fantasy games. Mass Effect I only wear armors that have a full face covering helmets. That's why I love Fallout because all the power armor helms look great and cover the face.
Having been both a firefighter and a soldier, et me tell you right now, if you are doing any physical activity at all, wearing a gas mask/face plate/ breathing aparatus / anything that covers your face you are going to have a bad time.Aeshi said:
As much as I think that the NCR Ranger hat is badass, and the BoS helmet (not shown) is pretty cool, I'll have to go for half hat because they look really easy to get on compared to some fat-ass helmet.
