Just out of curiosity, what browser do you use the most, and why? I asked my friend the same question and she replied, "The internet is dumb, it's all made up anyway." After giving up hope in humanity I wondered how many people preferred Explorer to Firefox, or Safari to Chrome, and vice versa. Personally, I like Firefox more than the other browsers because I don't like Explorer and I can't be bothered downloading anything else. It's been sitting on my desktop for at least three years now.

So, what's your favourite browser?

Other.

/usr/ports/www/lynx-ssl

If I desperately need flash or GUI content (like viewing the escapist), I use Firefox with some blocking utilities for scripts and flash.

FireFox, because of its inherent awesomeness, what with add-ons and such. I just prefer it is all.

Edit: FireFox is still awesome and all, but it lags a lot when I'm on The Escapist (which consists of most of my time spent on the Internet). I tried unstalling and reinstalling it, but it still lags. I'm having a try of Google Chrome, and so far, it's fine. My only complaint is that it doesn't have RSS feeds, but that's rectified with Google Reader (which isn't as good, but still better than nothing).

FireFox because of the the leetness it provides. I was going to change to Google Chrome but it doesn't have many of the things that Firefox has like easy tab openings.

Fire to da Fox, mostly now because IE 7 seizes up and cries when I try to close it in Vista SP1. Every time. Hit that red X and I gotta restart it to hit X once again to close it finally. Wood stakes plz.

Firefox, hands down. Why? Duh:
- Free Add-ons
- Cleaner, quicker, easier to use
- Has a Menu Bar, unlike IE 7 by default
- Always automatically saves and loads my sessions

I only use IE 7 in cases where Firefox will not render a web page correctly (but usually I just switch the rendering engine in Firefox to display the page using an embedded IE)

I gave up IE 5.5/6 when I found Netscape, and gave up Netscape when I found Firefox, and used Firefox 1.5 for a long time since 2.0 was buggy, but I use 3.0 now.

I have not heard of Google Chrome. What is it?

I have not tried to use Opera (except on my Wii, if you count that), Safari, or other mutant browsers.

FireFox for me.

I started using it about a year ago, when my IE was deciding it didn't want to work anymore. I've been using FireFox since. I just prefer it now.

Firefox. I started using it a few years back and it hasn't disappointed me yet.

IE is slow and annoying so i swapped to firefox. and now im on chrome, just because it looks really nice and is still much faster than IE. that and the ability to crash individual tabs instead of losing the whole program.

Lawlz Firefox is for gays and artists.
So, people much like the original Ezra Pound then?

In any case, I'd rather go with something you deem for gays than something that a) allows my computer to be riddled with malware or b) has a wonderful clause in the EULA saying that anything I post through said browser belongs to Google (I don't care if that got removed, it should never have been there in the first place. They said it was a copy-paste error; what the hell were they copying?).

I use firefox, the latest edition seems a bit crap but in general it let me open more tabs then IE did on this computer.

Firefox, I would've switched to Google Chrome, but I love me some adblock/noscript/customize google/download statusbar/stumbleupon/better gmail...

There are a few others but you get the idea. Apparently Chrome may one day have addons as well. I eagerly await the day.
