Its tough but really it depends on the game,in mw2 multi player is more important, but in bioshock 2 single player is more important.so really it depends.

I agree exactly with what Yahtzee says- Any game should be able to hold itself up solely as a single-player game. Multiplayer is just an added bonus. Or something like that.

I'm not a huge multiplayer fan, so naturally any game that boasts itself solely as a multiplayer (MMOs excused), I don't like- like Modern Warfare, or so I've been told.
But I don't really care.

If its multiplayer, I'll just ditch it and get a good single player

If I had LIVE, it would still depend.
But as I don't, it's SP for me.

Team Fortress 2 is my all time favorite game and it doesn't even have Single Player.
So I guess it really depends.

A game can go either way. But if you have SP and MP, you should at least make them both considerably good with the other great, so there's a reason to buy the game.

It fully depends on the game. For me, though, I generally have more fun with the single-player aspect of games. Co-op's nice though.

I agree to that statement myself. Unless the game was meant to be multiplayer it should be able to survive with just the single player. Take MGS4 for example. It holds up well enough on it's own with single player and I really don't know why they bother adding multiplayer but it wouldn't have mattered if it was there or not. I do enjoy playing multiplayer games but I generally prefer to play single player first and if the single player is shit then I doubt I'm going to give a frack about multiplayer.

List of games whose multiplayer I truly enjoy:
Team Fortress 2
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2

Yeah, looks like single player wins.

Single player hands down. Because not everyone has an internet connection or is willing to pay for Ex Box Live.

As much as South Korea would want you to believe, single player is the most important, however.
