I used to use Internet Explorer and go through the monotony of deleting history...now I use Google Chrome! Goodbye worrying about who's seen what webpages I've been to, hello incognito mode!!

If you don't use Google Chrome, go search it. It's much faster than IE, and has incognito mode!!

Firefox, since I'm used to it, and have a hard time using other browsers.

This may come accross as elitist, but I really like Firefox, if for no reason other than that I got a Mario Brothers theme for it. Mario and Luigi are my back and forward buttons respectively, and my scroll bars are those iconic green pipes. Theres more to it than that, it's more or less IE with a bit better anti popup workings (I was getting porn pop ups from IE long after I was done with it, I fixed it but only thanks to avg)

I prefer Firefox, beacause there is a fox in the logo. And it's safer, less prone to freeze up my computer and faster than IE. Never tried any of the others, so I don't have much to say about them.

Dillo [http://www.dillo.org/], because it looks like it was designed in the 90s, and has the same functionality

but when I want to see backgrounds on web pages, I reckon Firefox. you will pry my adblock from my cold dead computer

I started off on Internet Explorer like most people, then ended up changing to Firefox. Used it for ages, became a bit of a fanboy, then a few months ago started having so many problems with it that I uninstalled it and switched to Google Chrome. Then I reinstalled it again and continued having the problems.

Now... I'm not having the problems. But I've been using Chrome for a while now, it's nice and functional since a recent update that fixed all of the things that pissed me off about it, and I've got my bookmarks and whatnot (having lost all the ones I had in Firefox during uninstallation) so I can't be arsed to change. That said, Firefox 3.5 is nice so maybe I'll be tempted.

EDIT:

Unfortunately you can't use incognito mode as a selling point for Chrome any more - they've got the same function in IE8 and Firefox 3.5.

Firefox because it doesn't crash every fifth minute, like IE7, could someone tell me if IE8 is an improvement?

Firefox. It's a lot faster than IE and safari and I think looks better than quite a few others as well.
