Poll: which is the best controller

simple, which of these do you think is the best controller and why?
my personal favs were the gamecube then the xbox 360s.

The gamecube controller is the most comfortable controller of all time, with the N64 controller being the worst. The 360 controller is the most comfortable of the three current gen controllers, followed closely by the PS3 controller (obviously).

I am the same as OP I think the gamecube is great for certain games but over all I think the 360 is better simply because it has the extra buttons a bigger right stick and because I have large hands the over all remote is fairly large.

Now, there is a similarity to the setup of an X-Box controller VS a PS3 Sixaxis, but I rather like both the grip and the simitry of the latter. Really, it's down to what you find yourself growing up on and getting use to. For me, it's that.

Going from the 64 to a playstation/2 to an Xbox 360 I have to say the 360 feels the best to me. The most natural fit. It's probably just because I haven't used it much but the PS3 controller just feels too small for me.

This version of the Gamecube controller has seen me dominate friends at Super Smash Bros for years now.

I actually need to look for a replacement as I'm wearing out mine.

But yeah, the Gamecube controller out of that list gets my vote.

Gamecube then 360, I have a PS3 and I hate that stupid double shoulder button bullshit. Not needed at all, just 2 extra buttons.

I'm pretty fond of the gamecube controller above all, then the wiimote+nunchuck combination.

The N64 controller gets a pretty strong sympathy vote from me, as well. It had a good layout and I never had any problem with it...though that was probably because so few games even used the D-pad.

I just feel the PS3 controller to be the simplest and best.
But as some of you have said the Playstation was my console of choice for many years so I just find it easier to use.
I also can't crab claw with the Xbox 360, too big and I have an above average hand size.

Without question, 360 is by far and away the best. If for no other reason the more logical placement of the control stick and "trigger" buttons. Not to mention its pervasiveness as the single most widly accepted PC controller.

Much as i loved the gamecube controller the placement of the analogue sticks was less than perfect and while the Xbox 360 probably has the best button setup that controller gives me serious hand ache after a couple of hours so its got to be the PS3 for me.
