I hate cold toliet seat espically during the winter (your already cold so why make it worse for youself by making your butt cold). While warm seat is unpleasent but I still view the warm seat acceptable as long you use the loo roll to wipe the seat clean if you're that paranoid getting germs from another person behind.

I tend to put a few pieces of toilet paper down on the seat before I sit, even if I know it's just been cleaned.

It's a bit of an OCD thing.

Which just loops back to my point, the chances of us using the toilet after you is higher than you going twice before us, so lift the seat. It's a two way street, I will gladly put it down, if the lady of the house puts it up after herself.

Nah, I guy is not lazy enough to not look where the seat is, so he just knocks it down. I don't think any guys have sat down without a seat.

... This is such a bizarre conversation to have with a total stranger, +1 awesome for the internet.

Pooing is like a one a day activity, not something to take into consideration. Taking a leak is like a 6 times a day thing.

If you want to avoid the whole sitting on the rim situation buy a sheewee, if I was a girl I would be all over that thing like white on rice!
Lol, it is a bizarre conversation isn't it? Only the internet! I've been looking at sheewees and their like but only for public restroom peeing and such. The sights I hath seen canst not be unseen...

As for your assertion that men aren't lazy enough not to look where the seat is, I've lived with many a male (relatives mostly), and there have at times been angry mutterings from my brother-in-law when his son has forgotten to put the seat down after him, or my brother when our dad had been in before him. I think men and women have equal potentiality for bathroom laziness.

As I find it unlikely that we'll end up sharing a loo any time soon I think we can agree to disagree on the matter =)

EDIT: I see your point regarding the peeing vs pooing though. Although my brother has his 3-times a day poo-schedule (yes he told me, he's odd), most people only poo once a day. But seeing as us girls have to sit down for both, I'm still biased towards men putting the seat down for us.

And this is now officially the weirdest conversation I've had on the internet.

Warm. its not natural and why would you want to increase the heat on an area that has a nasty tendency to retain entirely too much heat to begin with.

Yay, for weirdness.

I am not arguing for us men not putting the seat down, I am arguing for women to put the seat up to return the favour.

It's not a massive deal that it has to be moved anyway, but if you gals want it moving down us lads want it moving as well, lets not have sexism over bog seats.
