The prawns (or proons if you're South African) from District 9 are my favorites.
Usually movie aliens run around with their big green heads and laser beams, blowing up the white house and such.
But the prawns from District 9 felt as realistic as aliens could get; they were living in poverty and were basically refugees on Earth.
Sorry if someone's said this already.

i love how the tau gets more votes than protoss or korgans because the tau are freaking awesome they have crysis suits with two laser cannons attached to theyre shoulders wich are bigger than the crysis suit itself than they have hired kroot mercenaries which ride on giant dinosaurs

Ah well. I play a Tau army, so they're high on my list. Really this one's a tossup between Tau, Eldar, and the Huragok of Halo (Engineers for those who don't know the Sangheili names for the races. Sangheili is Elites, by the way...).
