Poll: Which JRPG should I play next? (JRPG haters, please stay out of this)

Bugzeejr reminded me: DragonQuest8 is a game that must be played, Onyx. If you own it or are able to find it (It is relatively cheap now), you should play it before Grandia 2. If you already played it, well, that settles that.

It can be hard to track down, but "Chaos Wars" (A gamestop exclusive for the PS-2) is a pretty decent game. Not all it could have been, but a pre-cursor to Cross Edge (in spirit) featuring a crossover between a lot of characters from differant RPG series.

Chaos Wars is good, and the Voice actors are the best I've ever heard!

I find it laughably hard to believe that those are the real voice actors.

I read the you tube notes... Please tell me those aren't the real voice actors!

Those are the games real voice actors. Most of them are friends and family of the CEO.

You might like either of the Baten Kaitos games. Word of warning if you do play them.:

For the first game, turn off the voices, they're horrible.

For the second game, leave the voices on, they're actually really good.

Any will do really but if you want one with a farily easy to grasp story, some hilarious moments, and still fun to play try Persona 4. And you don't need to play any of the previos(?) games to get the story I might add. Of corse I'm also a fan of the series but still. Also I agree with the post above me. try it if you like stradegy games.

If you must play one of those, I'd go with Blue Dragon, since the visuals & enemy designs were pretty nice & the combat was fairly well balanced. frankly though, the most fun I'd get out of those games would be trading at Gamestop or Goozex & getting a decent game instead. Plenty of good reccommendations above me

I'm thinking about getting Infinite Undiscovery later this year. It gets my vote seeing as I wouldn't play the other two.
