I'm going to have to go with other. Most people i talk to actually haven't played or even heard of Four Swords Adventures (I'll talk about the Gamecube version, there was a GBA one too). If you had 4 people hooked up with their gameboy advances, this game was a blast. Also i had tons of fun playing the 4 player minigames and shadow battle.
Windwaker would be a close second for me.

Most fun? Majora's Mask. By far.

Most awesome and best ever? Ocarina of Time. Also by far.

Ocarina of time was my introduction to the series in grade school. It set the bar for adventure videogames for me; I still play it beginning to end at least once a year or so. Unlike some people I really did enjoy Majora's Mask, but it was no Ocarina of Time.

Of course neither can compare to Wand of Gamelon for the Philips CD-i, just awesome graphics and gameplay.

As much fun as Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and, Link's Awakening were I'm having a lot of fun with this one:

Not the game itself but the videos and cutscenes. They are very entertaining in the same way a really bad car wreak is.

Windwaker! was the first zelda i owned. i guess it's my favourite because it was my formative zelda game, so it became the benchmark for me.
also the graphics were brilliant, the choice of styalised cell shaded have made it so the game still looks good today

Majora's Mask. Bunny Hood and Zora mask. Swimming had never been more fun in a Zelda game! In other Zelda games, swimming was lame and tedious, but in this one, I actually had more fun swimming than walking! So smooth! So fast! I couldn't quite master jumping out of the water and smoothly somersaulting onto land, but I managed it a few times and just jumping out of the water itself was fun for me.

And another plus? I could go back and fight the bosses I already defeated any time I want. I have yet to encounter another game that lets you do that.

I got to play a little bit of Ocarina of Time when it first game out years ago. Never got to beat it though, and I always regretted that. Then, while shopping at GameStop about two years ago, I saw on the wall that GameCube collection of Zelda games. I bought it straight away. I didn't even own a GameCube, but I wasn't about to let this chance slip away.
Ocarina of Time is my favorite, with Twilight Princess coming in second. If we ever get a Zelda game where we play as Zelda, then it will be up in the air.

Wind Waker, seriously you can be all "Oh it's so childish I am so above such foolish things" but I ask of you, go back to your Gamecube now and replay it. I think you will find it is both considerably more fun than you remember and also more fun than other Legend of Zelda games. Not necissarily better, but more plain fun. Ocarina of Time was an exiting childhood adventure that introduced me to gaming but the visual style is now outdated, Twilight Princess was..... sorry I can't think of anything nice to say about TP. And ds title Phantom Hourglass had that infuriating dungeon. So overall for giggly grphically satisfying fun you can't beat Wind Waker.

You know I was initially put off by the Cel-shaded graphics of Wind Waker, but once I actually tried the game I warmed up to them and realized that they were actually quite charming.

As for the most fun? I don't know. I've enjoyed most of the Zelda series except for Zelda II, and I can't really pin down which game I enjoyed the most. Unfortunately I can't agree with the OP about Wind Waker. While it was a charming little game, I found that lengthy section where you had to sail around finding all the charts and then pay that douchebag Tingle an exorbitant amount of money to interpret them, and then go sailing around to find all the Triforce pieces incredibly tedious.

Yeah, Four Swords Adventures is one of my favorites (Conversely, I think that the original Four Swords to be in desparate need of a remake due to the way its multiplayer was designed), as is Minish Cap.

I'm partial to the "Oracle of Ages/Seasons" games actually.
They best encapsulate what I like about the Zelda games, and were probably some of the toughest Zelda games there are (only second to Zelda 2).

I've only ever played five minute demos for Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time, Four Swords Adventures (Gamecube) and Twilight Princess, and of those, Twilight Princess was definitely the best.

I didn't enjoy the Twilight sections in Twilight Princess, so I'm going with OoT followed closely by Majora's Mask. Didn't get far enough in Wind Waker to form a good opinion on it.
