People may not know it, but there are really...TWO SUCCESSFUL MEGAMAN FORMULAS!

The first being the classic Megaman formula: running right and shooting people and beating eight big bosses before using the powers you got from the other eight bosses to kill the BIG big boss at the end of the game. Simple, fun, easy to understand and play.

And the new Megaman Legends formula: a game that involves a plot and voice cast stolen from a Saturday morning cartoon; customizing your Megabuster's power, range, rate of fire, and how many shots fired to fit the scenario you're in; exploring 3D dungeons to find money, things that can be used to make super weapons, buster parts, or gear to help you out; an open 3D world; a Saturday morning cartoon-esque charm; a new look on a popular characters; fun distracting side quests and mini games; a Dr. Wily that's not out to antagonize you; a plot that is both serious enough to be an action game but funny enough to not be taken as a modern day FPS kind of serious.

Incidentally, Megaman Legends was Keiji Inafune's (creator of the 20 year old franchise(Happy Birthday Rock/Megaman) favorite spin off of the Megaman series.

So which is better: Megaman: New Formula or Megaman Classic

Also, for those who are about to say it, the Battle Network and Starforce series go in the classic formula, no debate.

I like them both. But the latter less. Because I get my ass kicked, but I do like Legends alot.

I voted for the classics, for my frustration of how slow Legends moved for me, and the fact that I always got lost XD

The Battle Network games are some of the best for the gameboy advanced. The only weakness being a little balancing.

Classic

I really liked Legends, but my N64 is broken, so I can't play the bad port.

I like the classic style, too, but they're running out of good "[enter noun here] Man" bosses.

Couldn't agree more.
Not to mention the Megaman Zero games (also for GBA) which rocked the GBA's world, especially MMZ3.

Battle Network and Starforce is about as different from the classic series as the classic series is from the Legends series. And while I enjoy every MM series aside from BN and Starforce, I'll go with the formula that put Mega man on the map.

Legends, MML was the BEST and I crapped myself when I discovered that I missed the sequel all those years ago.
Why not get a rom and emulator, I'm playing Legends right now

A) PIRACY?! SHHH, just suggesting that will get you suspended, I kid you not, and B, my computer sucks, it can barely play Facebooks games.
Of course i know it is, that's why im typing this on my iPod as i play it on my original Playstation. Hehehehehehehe.....

How old is it? Microsoft '96? I judge computer power by levels of video games so what's the most powerful game it can play(i know you said it can barely play Facebook but just humor me).

It can't load flash games, and when I did have an emulator, allegedly, it couldn't play MML 1, I fried something in it back when I used to be able to play things on it, I tried playing vampire the masquerade and then one day it just stopped working right. I need a new one though, this thing came out in like 04 or something. it's a Dell Latitude D600. Also, they'll suspend your account here and you wouldn't be able to post.
DAYUMN SON! That shit ancient!(by standard gamer terms of tech and games where the equivalent of a year is some number between around 2 and 7) That thing get blue screened? I'd never think that Vampire: the masquerade would be so bad that a computer would commit suicide(LOL, nah it was ok). You haven't tried to replace it? Or at least walk into a CPU repair store and go,'fix 'dat shit!"
