How I Met Your Mother. Two and a Half Men (although I haven't seen the new series with Ashton Kutcher at all) and The Big Bang Theory have provided me with laughs at some point when I've watched them and I haven't even watched The Office (US) or Modern Family so for me to judge them is unfair, and from the episode or two that I've seen, HIMYM just isn't funny to me.

I can't decide which I dislike more now. Both Two and a Half Men and The Office lost their best characters an are floundering a lot.

In the end I guess Two and a Half Men is the weakest of the two

How i met your mother: Decent, funny, a bit too much of the laugh board though.

2 and a half men: no longer has Charlee sheen, and so it deserves to die now, because its only a man and 2 fags

Big Bang Theory: Catering to nerds, in such a way that it caters to no one who deserves to live.

The Office: The writing has blown for years, how it lives is a question

Modern Family: Get my chainsword.

I don't care for Two and a Half Men at all, even when Sheen's character was on it. If I had to pick one, it would be that.

Also, can someone explain to me all the hate for the Big Bang Theory? Sure, it's full of clichés and stereotypes, but it's also hilarious at times (though I'll concede that the fourth season hasn't been as good so far). I'm curious, how many people who hate it have actually seen at least a few episodes? Because no one I've talked to in person seems to dislike it (and that includes plenty of fellow nerds), yet the internet is apparently full of people ready to spout their undying hatred for the show at the slightest provocation. Surely there must be something to explain this discrepancy.

Haven't seen Modern Family or Two and a Half Men, so can't judge. That destroys my ability to judge.

However, I will say that I stopped watching The Office a bit after they resolved the main romantic conflict. It was still kinda' funny, but it lost a lot of its charm when that conflict no longer existed. Now that Steve Carrell has left, perhaps its time for it to call it quits, but I can't really judge since I haven't seen the last couple seasons.

The Big Bang Theory isn't the greatest show ever, but the nerd-related humor is hilarious. It's embarrassingly and sometimes insultingly overexaggerated, but such is the nature of comedy. Its references to actual, real icons and culture really make it.

How I Met Your Mother is the standout of all these, as it's an absolutely brilliant show. The writers constantly astound me with their extremely rare ability to combine real, emotional drama with hilarious comedy. The story and characters are no less compelling and worthwhile than the comedy, and that's a truly great accomplishment. This is one of my all-time favorite shows, and it should never be canceled; it should end when it's made to. It's been going for a long time, but it's all working toward a specific ending, all building up to it, and thankfully it has at least two more seasons to do it in.

Normally I'm against the whole 'kill this show' argument because if I really don't like something, I just won't watch it. Let the fans of it watch it while I watch something else, like 30 Rock (best sitcom on TV).
But still if I did have the power to destroy television shows I don't like it would probably be Two and a Half Men on that list, there's like one joke for the whole show. Charlie Sheen, who is an enraged misogynist drug addled nutbag in real life, picking up women and a whole lot of gay jokes thrown in.
That's it. Frankly it's shameful to modern society that it's lasted as long as it has.

Also while I'm here I wish to cancel Family Guy, even though it's not on the list, because it's got no charm, no heart and it's not funny anymore. It's just embarrassing to watch it now because I remember that I actually used to like it.
Watching an episode of Family Guy now is the equivilant to seeing a grandparent you once loved now stuck on life support.

As far as everything else on the list goes, I can live with them.

TBBT is a fine show. The Office was fine, might not be so much without Carrell. Never watched Modern Family nor How I Met Your Mother.

Two and A Half Men should do TWO things to save itself. Stop trying to ruin the Harper brothers, and stop. with. the. incessant. gay. jokes.
Carrell isn't on The Office anymore? Hm. He was the one reason I never was able to get into the show. Whenever he's the star of a show or movie he always tries way too hard to be funny, and it just makes me sigh.

OT: I like How I Met Your Mother, I'm indifferent to The Office, I've never been interested in Big Bang Theory, I've never heard of Modern Family, and I think Two & a Half Men should've died with them killing Charlie. Not unlike Scrubs, the entire show was based around one character despite the rather large ensemble cast. Getting rid of that character essentially means it's not the same show anymore. Continuing on in the same way is a bad business decision.

I've seen a few episodes of The Office. Dead-pan humor is not my cup of tea.
Big Bang Theory is blech.
The characters in HIMYM are funny and charming, but half of the jokes and build-ups to jokes fall flat.
I've never been interested in Modern Family and I am still not.

The only reason i picked the Office(U.S) is because it is a poor(at the best of times) rip off of the original office. If America could be somewhat original with that show, even though it is meant to be like the the original office that doesn't mean that they need to pretty much just remake it scene by scene, I would have picked Two and a Half Men.

Modern Family is easily the best show on the air at the moment, Two and a Half Men is the complete opposite, so lets cancel that

None of them.
I like all of them.
This, although I've only actually seen "The Office" a couple times and it usually slips by me, so I suppose that.
That's probably because it is America attempting to remake a British even though most Americans don't understand British comedy

Admittedly, I haven't seen the new "Two and a half Men," but what's the point of the show without Charlie Sheen? It's like trying to make chocolate chip cookies, then realizing that you don't have flour, baking soda, vanilla extract, butter, or chocolate chips; so you substitute paint thinner, saw dust, and cement.

The Office. It doesn't matter how good their jokes may be when they suck at delivering them. I've never seen anything in it I actually felt like giving more than a vague smirk about. Mostly it's just incredibly dull and boring. Also, really tired of how many things these days are doing the "mockumentary" style.

That said, I've never seen the original British version so I have no idea what that one is like.

As for all the Two and Half Men hate... I actually like the show. Although, I'm specifically referring mostly to the older episodes, I haven't seen the new ones and I'm somewhat baffled as to why they're even making episodes without Charlie Sheen... Although, I have to say that the show has been overly milked to the death and I started losing interest a while ago as the kid got older.

I like all of them, I like the office the least though which i guess is why i voted for it.
I only don't like it because it's just Michael being a dumb ass which is only funny for about 10 mintues before it gets irritating. Steve Carrel's character is irritating which I think it's meant to be, I'm not sure :/

*Looks at poll options* Where the fuck is Glee?

I quite like Big Bang Theory, even if it seems to be turning into this decades version of Friends (a program that TV networks will show until you are so sick of it that you will puke if you watch anymore but will watch anyway because its not totally awful and still find the jokes slightly amusing). How I Met your Mother is alright even if it is slightly disturbing that the bloke who is telling the story is holding those poor children at gun point. How else do you explain the two teenagers staring at the camera with absolute attention as if whats being said is the greatest story ever told despite the fact that nothing ever happens.

If anything, The Office USA needs to be cancelled, anything inspired by anything the terminally unfunny Ricky Gervais did needs to be stopped and destroyed now, then future generations won't judge us quite so harshly.

Even though what Two and a Half has become I'm going with Big Bang Theory, never watched it enthusiastically sometimes flipping channels I'll catch a horrible joke from that show and just try to flip faster to get it out of my mind

Needs "The Simpsons" or "Family Guy". Family Guy should have never been brought back, and Simpsons needs to bow the hell out already. It can't even bow out gracefully at this point, it'd be more like "sorry about the mess" before running off ashamed.
