I've been debating in my head about which of these games I should get and I can't decide between them so I was hoping the good people of the Escapist would help me decide. Also, if you could give support for why I should/shouldn't get a certain game would help me out as well.

I'm planning on getting duke when it comes out and dragon age at some point but right now I'm too focused on making money instead of spending it. But hey portal 2 is cheaper then a lot of games I believe and a lot of people like it so more bang for your buck right now.

Only one game on that list I've played and only one I personally want to play. Dragon age 2 was a good game, but if I were you I would wait and get Deus Ex because DA2 was a meh experience compared to the first one. I think there are only 2 or 3 actual unique dungeons in the whole game, they just repeat themselves over and over. The combat is EXTREMELY repetitive as well. I would say get it, but AFTER you get Deus Ex =P

If you can only afford one you'll probably get the most time out of Total War.

I never play any Deus Ex games before but after seeing the videos about it on the net, I can say that this game is going to be mindblowing

Well it's out of Portal 2, Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2, and possibly Deus Ex (although I've never actually played a Deus Ex game, it looks good). I wouldn't get Brink (dosen't look great IMO, and will not be anywhere near as good as some of the other games on your list). Sorry I'm not much help, since I'm a terrible decision maker.
I'd probably go for Crysis (bloody beautiful game), or Portal (well, it is Portal).

All I can tell you is that I found Portal 2 to be awesome, Dragon Age 2 to be good, Crysis 2 to be average and Brink to be a waste of money.

So far, Deus Ex looks fairly promising and Duke Nukem looks good, if you're into that sort of thing.

But take this with a grain of salt. Opinions are subjective and all that. You know how it is.

Portal 2 made me laugh so hard I cried. And the coop was the most fun I've had on Xbox Live in a very long time.

I hope my suggestion is clear, but if not - Portal 2 is money well-spent.

Shogun 2 gets my vote, the whole thing just feels, looks and sounds gorgeous. A lot more replay value out this than the others too

I'd say Shogun 2. It's a vast improvement over empires/napoleon. I'd go so far as saying its better than Rome.

Human Revolution isn't out until the end of August. (But fucking get it!)

I vote Portal 2 and The Witcher 2.

DA2 is a let-down and Crysis 2 is a let-down (especially if you played the first).

From that list, Deus Ex will probably will be your best bet if you want innovation AND lasting appeal.

I really enjoyed Shogun 2 and it has a very long lifespan even on just single player. So if you can only afford one you would probably get the most playtime out of Shogun 2. Personally I also enjoyed DA2 alot despite it's glaring flaws.
