Avatar, hands down.
It'd be great to go out and look around the place.
I disagree, good sir.

You could go out and look around with GUNS in borderlands! : D

Yes I quoted you for no reason.
Ah, but one could argue you could also do that in Avatar's Pandora.
Albeit with a smaller variety of guns.
Ah, but in the desert you can see the thing that wants to kill you from miles away! And you'll never die the embarrassing death of sudden tree falling.

Ah, but not being able to see what is about to viciously eat your faceabout to surprise you makes that environment more fun.

Free reign to shot damn near anything I like withso many different guns that it boggles the mind? I think I'll stay in the funny, sarcastic, cell shaded Borderlands. Me, and all my Mad Max references.

Darn I hate it when they don't just eat your face. They have to cross it out and then just surprise you. At least the skags are polite about it and gnaw your limbs off right away.

Borderlands, everything is cell shaded and apparently guns are as good enough a form of currency as actual dollars. Also, you can never truly die.

You make a good point there.
A very good point.

God, this is honestly a hard choice. On the one hand, Avatar's Pandora is absolutely beautiful, but I can't breathe without a mask. It'd be nice to be able to see all the species of flora and fauna, though. And there attractive blue women

Borderland's Pandora, on the other hand, allows me to breathe on the surface, but doesn't really allow me to not get shot as often as I would like. It'd be a hell of lot more fun to shoot stuff all the time.

I honestly cannot decide whic one to choose.

So as you guys may or may not know the game Borderlands and the movie Avatar both take place on planets called Pandora

Avatar's Pandora is a lush, tropical, rainforest full of many brightly colored plants and animals
on this planet there is a native species of humanoid aliens that are very similair to Native Americans
They're home base is located on the planets largest deposit of a mineral that sells for 20 million dollars a ton
Humans have arrived on the planet to move the natives out and seize all the mineral by any means neccessary

Borderlands' Pandora is a dry desert-like wasteland of a planet with a very small population of people that are not bandits or raiders
The planet is owned by the Atlas corporation, a weapons manufacturing company
They are there to find the Vault, a hidden chamber said to hold vast riches
An elite group of soldiers known as the Crimson Lance are there to seize the contents of the vault in any way possible

So i'd like to know which of the 2 Pandoras you guys would rather live on, Borderlands' or Avatars'

Also none of the above information is a spoiler as it is reveiled in trailers, introductory cutscenes, or posters hung up in the tutorial
Borderlands' Pandora just made me depressed that I had bought the game, don't get me wrong I'm not the kind of player that buys farcry 2 and calls it safari time, and I did enjoy it for a while but comeon, EVERYTHING looked more or less the same, I wish shit would pop out of nowhere or the plant life would try and kill you every once in a while or atleast give me some eye-candy to look at when nothing challenging or interesting was happening.

In the end, I'll have to go with Avatar.
May I just say if your avatar is who i think it is, it's quite epic indeed.

I'd rather live on Avatar's Pandora, but I like Borderlands Pandora, because it's a huge pun.

The Vault on Pandora = Pandora's Box. Which says a lot about the planet itself.

Avatar's obviously. Sure the atmosphere could kill you without any breathing apparatus and anythin that breathing is after your hide but its so darn beautiful to look at...especially in 3D

Borderlands, mainly because wherever I end up, I'm going to be killed at some point. At least in the Borderlands Pandora I'll never actually die, so long as I've been near a conveniently located New-U station and don't mind 10% of my cash mysteriously vanishing every time I do get shot in the face.

Also, come on, who the fuck wouldn't want to come across a shotgun that shoots rockets?

The potential ability to fly on an Ikran makes me far more compelled to want to live in the Pandora of Avatar. I'm also a bit more of a jungle guy. And hey, bioluminescent jungle no less? I'm in.

Avatar's Pandora, lush and diverse biology, actual sentient life, etc. Although I would be slightly limited by the humans-can't-breath thing
