Poll: which Sci fi universe would make the best game?

Starship Troopers has been done several times, just never very well.
Warhammer 40k is too big and difficult.
Star Trek is, for lack of a better word, kinda boring.
Galactica could make a good Space Combat Sim.
Babylon 5 would maybe work as a space based RTS.
I have NO idea what kind of game you'd make out of Firefly, FPS doesn't suit it, neither does Space Combat Sim, Maybe a KOTOR esque RPG? I dunno, I don't think it can be made into a good game.

starship would make a great shooter!

I would say Star Trek, but Doctor Who needs a good one. Preferably playing as either a UNIT operative or a Torchwood agent.
There was an indie Stargate 2D point/click adventure game made a while back, it was pretty good. Not to mention the Stargate MMO in the works. I also think it "could" make a good FPS.
There are a myriad of Star Trek games ranging from fantastic (DS9 The fallen, Armada, ST Voyager: Elite force) to atrocious *shudders* (Elite force/Armada 2)
They did make a Galactica Space combat sim....To say the least it is less than fantastic.
B5 MOD is a VERY well made mod for Armada2. so much so, it alone makes the game worth getting.
AS for Firefly..... the coouuld make somthing out of it if they allowed the setting to be anywhere in the firefly universe...maybe

Stargate would be the best, as you could make almost any type game from it and still not break the lore of the show. Even a simple FPS would work, go in to the gate, rescue people/stop bad guys/get technology from bad guys.
The problem with star trek is that the show focused more on diplomatic ways to get out of problems as well as involving a 'space soap opera' with the crew. Just doesn't translate well to games. I can't recall a trek game that was ever true to the lore
Fireflys lore was all over the place, and too incomplete to make a good game from it that wasn't just cashing in on the name, same with starship troopers. Don't know enough about the others to even guess

i saw Reign of Fire.
very odd movie, but the concept was very unique and broad enough to build an entire world around it.

I voted "40k" but there's a lot of good candidates.
I could definitely see Firefly turned into a KOTOR/Mass Effect style RPG... and ME's 3PS combat system (or maybe Fallout 3's, we'll see) would really capture the spirit of the show.
Stargate's a no-brainer... heck, maybe you could even get a console port for the Stargate MMO coming out. My personal favourite would be a squad-based tactical shooter with an RPG-style storyline but not as stat-driven as the usual RPG.

I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that Snowcrash would make the best fucking game ever.
and no Second life does not count!
Oh and the 40k game was called Space Hulk. It was praised for good graphics, great voice acting and innovative gameplay but criticized for being so hard it could actually reach out through your PC's video card and punch you in the balls.
